9/15/69 <br />1017 N. St. Louis Boulevard. Clyde Platz did not appear as requested. <br />Mr. West reported the Sub -Standards Division had received a letter from <br />Mr. Platz that he has sold the property to Louis Marram who intends to de- <br />molish the building. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was <br />continued two weeks. <br />735 W. Jefferson. No one appeared for the Hamilton and Harris Company as <br />requested and Mr. West stated Sub -Standards has heard nothing from them. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued two weeks. <br />2502 S. Michigan Street. Mr. West reported the owner is trying to sell <br />this property. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the.matter was con- <br />tinued two weeks. <br />1013 Duey Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Sub -Standards <br />Division was given permission to advertise for bids for demolition of the <br />premises. <br />740 N. Frances Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, this matter <br />was continued for two weeks, to permit the owner to complete the sale. <br />2110 Elwood Street. Pat Horvath, 1315 Edgewood Drive, South Bend, Indiana, <br />appeared before the Board and stated that he intends to rebuildthis structure <br />and has been waiting for the architect to commence, and reports the building <br />is closed. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued <br />30 days. <br />Demolition bids opened: <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for demolition of the following <br />properties, the bids were opened and non collusion affidavits were found to <br />be proper. Bids were: <br />1221 Grace Street: <br />B & J Demolition Co. $650.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Co. $635.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $669.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract was awarded to <br />Bryant Excavating Company on its low bid of $635.00. Contract was executed <br />by the Board. <br />401 E. Wenger• <br />B & J Demolition Co. $475.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Co. $470.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $569.0o <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract was awarded to O'Neal Trucking <br />Company on its low bid of $470.00. Contract was executed by the Board. <br />REQUEST,FOR PERMISSION TO SELL UNUSED THEATRE SEATS - MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the re- <br />quest of Floyd M. Jessup, Manager of Morris Civic Auditorium, to sell 60 undsed <br />theatre seats , at private sale, to H. N. Williams, 700 Monroe Street, Walkerton, <br />Indiana, for the Masonic Lodge at Walkerton, Indiana. <br />HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3298 - BENDIX CORPORATION <br />CONTINUED FROM 9/ / 9 <br />Hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 3298, being for the vacation of: <br />A portion of Prast Boulevard, between Illinois Street on the east <br />and the intersection of Sheridan Avenue and Ardmore Trail on the <br />west, more particularly described as follows: <br />
