No <br />remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been re- <br />ceived, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the assessment roll was <br />approved and said Resolution in all things ratified and confirmed, and the <br />proceedings, --closed and the property declared vacated. <br />PETITION TO PAVE E. SRIVER <br />A petition to pave East Washington Street, from Coquillard to Ironwood, <br />under Barrett Law, was filed with the Board and, upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, referred to the City Engineer for study and <br />recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO BLOCK CAMPEAU STREET FOR BICYCLE RACE - EAST SIDE BOYS CLUB <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of Joseph Warnell, 1115 E. Campeau Street, South Bend, Indiana, to <br />block Campeau Street, from Eddy to Jacobs, on Saturday, August 9, 1969, <br />from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. for a bicycle race and parade by the East <br />Side Boys Club. Insurance not required. <br />REQUEST TO HOLD PARADE - STUDEBAKER DRIVER'S CLUB <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the re- <br />quest of Herbert P. Read, Meet Chairman, Studebaker Driver's Club, Inc., <br />M. R. Box 438, Chesterton, Indiana, to hold a parade on SatuWay, August 9, <br />1969, consisting of a procession of automobiles, with police escort, commenc- <br />ing at 11:45 A.M., in front of Avanti Motors Plant, proceeding north to <br />Western Avenue and west to the city limits. <br />REQUEST TO BLOCK ROOSEVELT STREET FOR BLOCK PARTY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and cprrled-' the Board approved the request of <br />Mrs. J. Massengale, 1110 Roosevelt Road, South Bend, Indiana, for the 1100 <br />block of Roosevelt Street, from the alley west to Inglewood Place, to be <br />blocked on Sunday, August 10, 1969, between 3:00 P.M. and 8:30 P.M. for a <br />neighborhood block party. No insurance required. <br />REQUEST FOR REDUCTION OF TAXICAB LIABILITY INSURANCE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the request submitted to <br />Councilman Robert 0. Laven by Fred Tomsits, insurance carrier for Courtesy <br />Cab Company, for a reduction of liability insurance limits was discussed and <br />referred to the Legal Department for further consideration and reply to Mr. <br />Laven. <br />
