7/28/69 <br />SALARIES AND WAGES - POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS - FISCAL YEAR 1970 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the following resolution <br />was adopted: <br />/ "RESOLUTION <br />"WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend <br />has failed to adoptean ordinance establishing salaries for the <br />Police and Fire Departments for the fiscal year 1970, <br />"NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the,following <br />schedule of salaries and wages for officers covered by Police <br />and Fire pension funds be adopted and established for the fiscal <br />year 1970: <br />Police Department <br />Chief <br />$12,800.00 <br />Division Chief <br />10,500.00 <br />Captain <br />9,800.00 <br />Sergeant <br />9,000.00 <br />Corporal <br />8,300.00 <br />First Class Patrolman <br />7,700.00 <br />Patrolman <br />7,100.00 <br />Officer in training <br />6,500e00 <br />Fire Department <br />Chief $12,800.00 <br />Assistant Chief 10,500.00 <br />Battalion Chief 9,800.00 <br />Captain 9,000.00 <br />Lineman 9,000.00 <br />Lieutenant 8,700.00 <br />Engineer 8,100.00 <br />Fireman First Class 7,500.00 <br />Fireman 7,000.00 <br />Fireman in training 6,500.00 <br />Driver 180.00 <br />"Adopted this 28th day of July, 1969. <br />Lloyd S. Bickel <br />Attest: <br />Doris Allen, Clerk " <br />CONSULTING ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION <br />PRELIMINARY ORDER <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3289, 1969 - DALE AVENUE <br />For the improvement of Dale Avenue, from :Ewing Street to Fox Street, by <br />constructing a Class C pavement with curb repair. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved <br />the recommendation of Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting <br />engineers, for said street to be paved with Type III -A pavement, and <br />hereby orders that said street be paved with Class C, Type 111-A pavement. <br />CITY ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION <br />ORDER FOR PRELIMINARY PLANS <br />PRELIMINARY PLANS FILED <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3297, 1969 ADOPTED - HAWTHORNE DRIVE <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS APPROVED <br />NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS <br />City Engineer files his recommendation that the petition for the improve- <br />ment of Hawthorne Drive, from McKinley Avenue to Colfax Avenue, by con- <br />structing a Class C pavement with curb repair be granted. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
