7/21/69 <br />1213 Clover Street. Property is open and has had a bad fire. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, permission was granted(` <br />to advertise for bids for demolition of the property. <br />1131 E. Bowman (accessory building). Mr. Adamson reported the accessory <br />building is open, neighbors are complaining of its condition, and no <br />work has been done since June 16, 1969. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, the matter was continued for two weeks. Sub -Standards <br />Director was directed to contact John Montgomery, attorney for the owner, <br />in reference to getting the premises cleaned up. <br />213 E. Paris Street. The owner did not appear as requested. -Upon motion <br />made, seconded and unanimously carried, permission was granted to ad- <br />vertise for bids for demolition of the auxiliary building. <br />1013 Duey Street. The owner, Mrs. Phillips, appeared before the Board and <br />stated she now has a contractor and will proceed with rehabilitation of <br />the premises. Mr. Adamson stated the building is closed and a building <br />permit has been obtained. <br />132 LaPorte Avenue. Ray Millikin, owner of this property, did not appear <br />as requested. Mr. Adamson stated the building is open, there has been a <br />fire, that some repairs have been made. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, the matter was continued one week. <br />661 LaPorte Avenue. Don Clements appeared before the Board. Mr. Adamson <br />stated the scaffolding has been removed but the trucks and furniture are <br />still there. Upon motion -made, seconded and unanimously carried, the <br />matter was continued one week to permit the owner to finish cleaning up <br />the premises. <br />134 N. Olive Street. Mr. Adamson stated this structure is used for storage <br />and nothing has been done to rehabilitate it. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, two weeks time was granted for the owner to - <br />remove the front porch. <br />233 E. Paris Street. Mr. Adamson reported the building in the rear is open; <br />the barber shop in front is closed; ownership is still not resolved. The <br />matter was continued one week. <br />1814 S. St. Joseph Street. The owner of this property is deceased. Mr. %� <br />Adamson states the son, Richard Walters, the only heir, is willing for the <br />property to be taken down. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously 7 _ <br />carried, permission was granted to advertise for bids for demolition of the zi-6 <br />premises. <br />2207 Smith Street. Arthur Largent, representing the National Bank and Trust <br />Company, reported their prospective buyer had changed his mind about buying <br />this property since it was not zoned "commercial." Upon motion made, <br />seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was continued one week. <br />739 South Bend Avenue. Land contract buyer, Dr. Smith, was present . <br />Mr. Adamson stated he is endeavoring to relocate the occupants of this <br />property; that no further repairs have been made to the property, and there <br />still is no gas vent. Dr. Smith stated he has been unable to get a contractor <br />to do the work, and that there has been no gas since he owned=°the property. <br />Sub -Standards Director was directed to report further upon relocation of <br />ahe occupants of this property. <br />Request for sub -standard property owners to appear be -fore Board 8/4/69 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of the Sub -Standards Director for the following owners of sub -standard <br />properties to appear before the Board on August 4, 1969, to show cause why <br />the following properties should not be demolished: <br />Alice Walters (estate) <br />Waneta Everhart <br />Emmit and Wardie Magee <br />Donald and Ferne Heilman <br />Neuberne H. Brown, Jr. <br />Ronald and Gtbdys Kopala <br />1814 S. St. Joseph St. <br />1307 S. Fellows St. <br />613 E. Ohio St. <br />313 E.-Wenger St. <br />1213 Clover St. <br />2133 Merry Ave. <br />And the Clerk is directed to so notify said owners by certified mail. <br />
