7/14/69 <br />STATISTICAL REPORT FOR JUNE, 1969 - POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Statistical report of the Police Department for June, 1969, was reviewed <br />and ordered filed. <br />MONTHLY REPORT FOR JUNE, 1969 - BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br />Monthly report of the Building Department for June, 1969, was reviewed <br />and ordered filed. <br />AMENDED PETITION TO VACATE ALLEYS - WOODEN KEG RESTAURANT <br />Wooden Keg Restaurant, 1611 S. Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, by Fred <br />J. Gantert, General Manager, files amended petition for the vacation of <br />the following: <br />First north -south alley west of Main Street, running from <br />the south line of Indiana Avenue south to the south line <br />of the first east -west alley south of Indiana. <br />Also, the first east -west alley south of Indiana Avenue <br />running from the west line of Main Street west to the east <br />line of the above mentioned north -south alley. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, said amended petition <br />is referred to the City Engineer for drawing of the area before referral <br />to Area Plan Commission for its study and recommendation to the Board. <br />PETITION TO WIDEN GERTRUDE STREET UNDER BARRETT LAW <br />Fred Dittman, 2111 Gertrude Street, South Bend, Indiana, and five others <br />files petition to widen and install curbing on Gertrude,Street, from Ewing <br />Avenue to Prairie Avenue, under Barrett Law. Upon motion made,seconded <br />and unanimously carried, petition is referred to the City Engineer for <br />study and recommendation. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3288 RESCINDED - CLYDE STREET <br />For the improvement of Clyde Street, from Ewing Street to Altgeld Avenue, <br />by constructing a Class C pavement with curb repair. <br />Written remonstrances against said improvement bearing the signatures of <br />51% or more of the resident property owners on said street who may be <br />liable for assessment for said improvement having been filed with the Board <br />within 10 days following the date and time of hearing on said improvement, <br />upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, Improvement Resolution <br />No. 3288, 1969, adopted by the Board May 26, 1969, is hereby in all things <br />rescinded, and the improvement ordered not made. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3290 RESCINDED - ST. PETER STREET <br />For the improvement of St. Peter Street, from Howard Street to Corby <br />Boulevard, by constructing Class C pavement with curb repair. <br />Written remonstrances against said improvement bearing the signatures of <br />51% or more of the resident property owners on said street who may be <br />liable for assessment for said improvement having been filed with the Board <br />within 10 days following the date and time of hearing on said improvement, <br />upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, Improvement Resolution <br />No. 3290, 1969, adopted by the Board on June 2, 1969, is hereby in all <br />things rescinded, and the improvement ordered not made. <br />PETITION TO IMPROVE HAWTHORNE DRIVE UNDER BARRETT LAW <br />Donald Eberhart, 2020 E. McKinley, South Bend, Indiana and 18 others <br />file petition to improve Hawthorne Drive, from McKinley Street to Colfax <br />Avenue, by paving, under Barrett Law. Upon motion made,seconded and <br />unanimously carried, petition was referred to the City Engineer for <br />study and recommendation. <br />
