CARLISLE STREET FOR BLOCK PARTY - URBAN LEAGUE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of <br />the Urban League of South Bend and St. Joseph County, Inc., 625 Sherland <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana, to block N. Carlisle Street, between Orange <br />and Linden Streets, on Saturday, June 21, 1969 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. <br />during a block party of the Urban League Neighborhood Block Club ##14. <br />PETITION TO VACATE STREETS - O'BRIEN CORPORATION .The petition of the O'Brien Corporation, 2001 W. Washington Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, for the vacation of: <br />Brookfield Street, from Orange to Washington, and <br />Colfax Avenue, from Brookfield to the first north -south <br />alley east of Brookfield Street. <br />was filed with the Board by attorney Timothy Wood, together with a deposit <br />of $65.00 for costs. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />the petition was referred to the City Engineer for drawings of the area and <br />then for referral to the Area Plan Commission for study and recommendation <br />to the Board. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3276, 1969 (AMENDED) -RESCINDED - ROSEMARY LANE <br />Improvement Resolution No. 3276, 1969 (amended) being for the improvement <br />of Rosemary Lane from 100 feet north of Peachtree Lane to Oakpark Drive, <br />by constructing a Class C pavement with curbs; upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, was rescinded and the improvement ordered not made. <br />FINAL CONFIRMATION OF IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTIONS <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3273, 1969 - being for the improve- <br />ment of Fremont Street, from Washington Street to Lawton Street, <br />by constructing a Class C pavement with curbs; <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3274, 1969 - being for the improvement <br />of the alley between South Michigan Street and South Main Street, <br />from Bowman to Calvert, by constructing�a Class C, Type l concrete <br />pavement . <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3275, 1969 - being for the improvement <br />of the alley between Sunnymede Avenue and Wayne Street, from <br />Sunnymede Avenue to the alley west, by constructing a Class C, <br />Type I concrete pavement. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3282, 1969 - being for the improvement <br />of Wall Street, from Ironwood Drive to 24th Street, by construct- <br />ing a Class C pavement with curb repair. <br />In the above improvement resolutions, adopted May 12, 1969, and first.con- <br />firmed June 3, 1969, no remonstrances against said improvements having been <br />filed within the 10 day period following the date and time of the hearing, <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said improvement resolutions be, and the same are, <br />in all things finally confirmed and the improvements hereby ordered made. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the plans and specifications approved by this <br />Board May 12, 1969, for said improvements are hereby adopted and ordered <br />placed on file in the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety. <br />And the Board fixes June 30, 1969, at 10:00 A.M., as the time for receiving <br />bids for said improvements. And the Clerk is directed to give notice by two <br />weekly publications. <br />
