6/16/69 <br />PARKING RESTRICTIONS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineer to prohibit parking in the 700 block <br />of West Wayne Street on the north side of the street; and to prohibit parking <br />on the south side of the street in the 700 block of West Jefferson Boulevard. <br />TRAFFIC SIGNS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved <br />the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer for the installation of: <br />"YIELD" signs and posts on Catherwood at Brookton; and <br />"YIELD AHEAD" signs in the 1/2 block advance. <br />STREET LIGHTS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved <br />the fallowing recommendations of the Traffic Engineer: <br />1. Horne Court and 28th. Increase existing light from 4000 L INC to <br />7000 L MV. Added cost - 90� per month. <br />2. 2700 block Southridge. Increase existing light at Greenwood and <br />Southridge to 7000L MV. Added cost - 90� per month. <br />Install a new 7000L MV in midblock. Added cost - $3.75 per month. <br />Increase existing midblock light to 7000L MV. Added cost 90� per month. <br />3. Spruce Street (Model City area). Increase two existing lights from <br />0004 L INC to 7000L MV. Added cost - $1.80 per month. <br />4. Huey Street, south of Linden (Model City area). Install a 7000L MV <br />light at midblock and remove the light 100 feet away at alley <br />intersection. Bdst - $1.15 per month. <br />STREET LIGHT DENIED <br />Kuntzman Court (Model City area). Request for installation of a street <br />light at midblock, upon motion made, seconded and carried, was denied <br />by the Board (not meeting the 500 foot requirement). <br />CONTRACTORS BONDS <br />The following contractors' bonds were approved by the Board: <br />Continental Homes, Inc., Osceola, Indiana - to 5/ 2/70 <br />Robert Derrickson, Mishawaka, Indiana (continuation Ctf.) - to 5/ 4/70 <br />Booker Hosea, ;South Bend, Indiana - to 3/24/70 <br />GENERAL INS. - DOWNTOWN SOUTH BEND COUNCIL <br />Downtown South Bend Couicil, South Bend -Mishawaka Chamber of Commerce, Inc., <br />320 W. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, files with the Board workmen's <br />compensation,comprehensive general liability and comprehensive automobile <br />liability covering South Bend Window Cleaning Company to 7/11/70 for street <br />lamp decorations. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the period 6/4/69 to 6/13/69 were ordered <br />filed. <br />1 <br />
