Bids were as <br />follows: <br />730 South Bend Avenue: <br />John E. Vanek $605.00 <br />A & J Demolition Co. 337.00 <br />A. Midwest Demolition 317.00 <br />Harvey R. Bryant 533.00 <br />Julius O'Neal 310.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the premises was awarded -to Julius O'Neal for $310.00-as the low bidder, <br />subject to an appeal being taken by the owner within the next seven days. <br />1223-1223'' S. Rush Street <br />John E. Vanek $1020.00 <br />' -A & J Demolition Co. 423.00 <br />Julius O'Neal 785.00 <br />A. Midwest Demolition 685.00 <br />Harvey R. Bryant 835.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the premises was awarded to A & J Demolition Company for $423.00 as the <br />low bidder, subject to an appeal- being taken by the owner within the next <br />seven days. <br />318 N. Cushing Street. Mrs. Parcher, owner of this property, stated that <br />she mistakenly appeared before the Board this date instead of June 23 as <br />requested, and asked to be heard. She stated that she -has boarded up the <br />premises many times but as soon as she gets it boarded up it is again <br />broken into. She stated the property was owned by her father who is deceased <br />and the estate is still pending; that she intends to sell it as soon as <br />she -can. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was <br />continued until June 23. <br />417 St. Vincent Street. Mr. Adamson stated this property has now been <br />closed up, and the matter was continued 30 days. <br />1131 E. Bowman. Mir. Adamson reported repairs and rehabilitation of this <br />property has been commenced, and the matter was continued 30 days. <br />719 W. Jefferson. No appeal having been taken by the owner within seven <br />days and no permit having been granted to any other contractor to perform <br />the demolition, the contract awarded on June 9, 1969, to Harvey R. Bryant <br />is now formally accepted and the contract signed by the Board. <br />233 E. Elder St. No appeal 'having been taken by the owner within seven <br />days and no permit having been granted to any other contractor to perform <br />the demolition, the contract awarded on June 9, 1969, to A. Midwest <br />Demolition and Wrecking Company is now formally accepted and the contract <br />signed by the Board. <br />205 N. Carlisle St. No appeal having been taken by the owner within seven <br />days and no permit having been granted to any other contractor to perform <br />the demolition, the contract awarded on June 9, 1969, to A & J Demolition <br />Company is now formally accepted and the contract signed by the Board. <br />1620 Poland Street. No appeal having been taken by the owner within seven <br />days and no permit having been granted to any other contractor to perform <br />the demolition,.the contract awarded on June 9, 1969, to A. Midwest <br />Demolition and Wrecking Company is now formally accepted and the contract <br />signed by the Board. <br />MEETING TIME CHANGED TO 9:30 A.M. <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried, commencing June 23, 1969, and <br />continuing until further notice, that the Board of Public Works and Safety <br />shall meet at 9:30 A.M. instead of 10:00 A.M. on Mondays each week. And the <br />Clerk was directed to so notify all Departments. <br />
