6/2/69 <br />COMPLAINT AGAINST MRS. KENNETH HURLEY - UNKEMPT PREMISES <br />Mr. and Mrs. Richard Oslowski and 21 others filed a complaint with the Board <br />against Mrs. Kenneth Hurley, owner of 931 S. Edison Street, stating that <br />the "home is a disgrace to the neighborhood because of neglect on the part <br />of the occupants." <br />Mr. Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, and Mr. Kesei of the Health Department, <br />were present; and both being familiar with the situation stated that the <br />owner is a widow with 8 children and little or no support; that she now is <br />receiving aid from the Welfare Department and it is hopeful that the <br />premises can be better cared for. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the matter was continued for one week for further investigation. <br />REQUEST FOR OWNERS OF SUB -STANDARD PROPERTIES TO APPEAR BEFORE BOARD <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of J. W. Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, for the following <br />owners of sub -standard properties to appear before the Board on June 16, <br />1969, to show cause why such properties should not be demolished: <br />C <br />Fred and Dorothy Egendoerfer - 1640 Portage Avenue <br />C: <br />Mr. and Mrs. Price McMahn - 717 S. Say. & Loan Assn) - 1520 Western Ave. <br />And the Clerk was directed to so notify said owners by certified mail. <br />AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE'ALLEY - CURTIS'E. GERBER <br />Area Plan Commission files with the Board the following recommendation <br />on the petition of Curtis E.
