4/14/69 <br />528 Harris Street. Mr. Adamson stated Mr. Herring, owner,of this property, <br />has contacted him and'is willing for the City to demolish,this property. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, permission was granted to <br />advertise for bids for demolition of the property. <br />REQUEST FOR SUB -STANDARD BUILDING OWNERS TO APPEAR TO SHOW CAUSE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of the Sub -Standard Building Director for the following property <br />owners to appear before the Board to show cause why the following listed <br />properties should not be demolished; and the Clerk is directed to send <br />certified notice to appear on April 28, 1969. <br />Charles Q. Mack 12172 S. Rush Street (accessory building) <br />Robert V. Batteast 1046 Georgianna Street <br />Stephen Varga 719 West Jefferson <br />Joseph Hutter 1814 S. Paris Street <br />1020 Duey Street <br />TEAMSTERS UNION <br />Kenneth Buhle, representative of the Teamsters Union, appeared before the <br />Board, and made inquiry regarding a requested meeting. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PARKING GARAGES <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approvedethe <br />request of the City Engineer to advertise for bids for construction of two <br />parking garages to be located at the southeast corner of Colfax and Main <br />Streets and at the northwest corner of South St. Joseph Street and East <br />Jefferson Boulevard, and the date of May 8, 1969, at 2:00 o'clock P.M. was <br />set as the time for receiving bids. The Clerk was directed to advertise in <br />the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on April 18 and April 25, 1969. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR REPAIR OF CURB ON SHERIDAN AVENUE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approve& the <br />request of the City -Engineer to advertise for bids for the replacement of <br />curb on Sheridan Avenue from Ford to Sample Street of approximately 2550 feet. ` <br />And the Clerk was d-ire_cted to advertise in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri <br />County News on April 18 and April 25, 1969, for bids to be received on April <br />28, 1969. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR REPA-IR OF BRIDGE OVER CLYDE CREEK <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the repair of the bridge <br />over Clyde Creek on Hillsdale Road. And the Clerk is directed to advertise <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News on April 18 and April 25, <br />1969, for bids to be received on April 28, 1969. <br />REQUEST TO BLOCK ALLEY FOR FISH FRY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of A. R. Madlem, for The Apostolic Temple Church, 2221 S. Ironwood <br />Drive, South Bend, Indiana, to block the east -west alley bordering the north <br />side of their church at 2221 S. Ironwood Drive on June 7, 1969, during <br />their annual fish fry between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. <br />PETITION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF ILLINOIS WELLINGTON ETC. - BENDIX CORPORATION <br />Petition was filed with the Board by Bendix Corporation,F/nergy Controls <br />Division, 717 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, for the vacation of - <br />portions of Illinois, Wellington, Kenmore and Falcon Streets, more particularly <br />
