4/14/69 0 Cl: 1 1212 S. Rush Street. Cornelius Walker, owner of this property, did not appear as requested. Mr. Adamson stated that Mr. Walker is retired, and that he cannot afford to repair the property. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, further action was postponed for one week to permit the Board members to inspect the premises. 536 Crescent Street. Mrs. D. J. Simeri, the owner of this property, whose husband is deceased, lives in California, and did not appear before the Board. Mr. Adamson stated there had been a fire at -these premises four years' ago and the property has never been repaired. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, further action was postponed for four weeks to afford the owner an opportunity to have the building demolished. 413 E. Ohio Street. Andrew Shewnan, owner of this property, appeared be- fore the Board. He stated that twiceland contract buyers had failed to fulfill their contract; that he had,done some work on the building and may be able to get it repaired within 30 days, and if not, then he will be willing for the City to demolish it. Upon motion made, seconded and carried an additional 30 days was granted in-avhich to accomplish the repairs. DEMOLITION BIDS OPENED Mr. Adamson submitted bids for demolition of the following properties, which were opened. Upon examination, non -collusion affidavit with each bid was found to be proper. The bids were: 909 Oak Street. A. & J. Demolition Company $375.00 Vanek Excavating Company 3656'00 Harvey R. Bryant 450.00 O'Neal Wrecking Company 445.00 A. Midwest Demolition and Wrecking Co. 460.00 Upon notion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract was awarded to Vanek Excavating Company for $365.00, that being the lowest and best bid received. 715 George Avenue. A. & J. Demolition Company $550.00 Harvey R. Bryant 635.00 Julius O'Neal 658.00 A. Midwest Demolition & Wrecking Co. 630.00 John E. Vanek 615.00 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract was awarded to A. & J. Demolition Company for $550.00, that being the lowest bid received. 506 E. Ohio Street (garage only). Harvey R. Bryant $150.00 Julius O'Neal 59.00 John E. Vanek 100.00 A. Midwest Wrecking Company 150.00 Upon motion made, secatded and unanimously carried, contract was awarded to Julius O'Neal for $59.00, :that being the lowest and best bid received. 2117-2119 W. Washington Street. The Clerk tendered letter signed by Charles Stafford, contractor, and,Hubert Mitchell, owner of this property, stating the property would be brought up to standard within 90 days from March 24, 1969 and clean up the debris and junk in the yard. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, further action was postponed for one week and if the debris is not cleaned up by April 21, action for demolition be taken.
