4/14/69 <br />(g) Ground test readings will be taken daily and re- <br />corded on the proper form. The readings shall be <br />taken on a rotation basis, and each shift will take <br />the readings a week at a time. <br />Section 8. MUTUAL AID: Requests for mutual aid not <br />covered by official orders or memos must be verified <br />by the Fire Chief, Executive Officer, Assistant Chief, <br />Battalion Chief, or a member of the Board of Public <br />Works and Safety. <br />Section 9. BATTALION CHIEF: <br />(a) <br />Any memos from the Battalion Chief of Fire Alarm Signal <br />maintenance pertaining to the care or use of equipment <br />in the Alarm Station shall have the'same authority <br />as if it came from the Chief of the FI re Department. <br />(b) <br />Any malfunction of any electrical equipment shall be <br />reported to the Battalion Chief of the Fire Alarm <br />Signal Maintenance. <br />Section 10. GENERAL: <br />(a) <br />Fire Alarm Station personnel shall familiarize them -- <br />selves with all pertinent rules and regulations govern- <br />ing the operation of the Fire Department radios as <br />prescribed by the Federal Communications Commission. <br />(b) <br />Fire Alarm Station personnel shall familiarize them- <br />selves with loop boundaries, company districts, all <br />streets within the city limits and keep abreast of the <br />changing conditions. <br />(c) <br />All personnel of the Fire Alarm Station.shall be governed <br />by the General Rules and Regulations of the -Fire Depart- <br />ment. <br />IV. <br />RADIO MAINTENANCE DIVISION <br />Section 1. PERSONNEL: Radio Maintenance Division <br />personnel shall be under the control of the Fire Chief,.direction <br />of the Executive Officer.and supervision of the Battalion Chief of <br />the Instruction Bureau. <br />Section 2. LIEUTENANT'iN CHARGE: <br />(a), The Lieutenant in charge>of;radio.repair=shali,be re- <br />sponsible for proper maintenance of`all Fire -Department <br />radio equipment. <br />(b) The Lieutenant in charge of Radio maintenance shall <br />keep a record of all repairs plus an inventory or equip- <br />ment. <br />Section 3. UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL: Only authorized <br />personnel shall be allowed to use radio repair equipment and <br />Radio Maintenance Division facilities. <br />Section 4. GENERAL: <br />(a) Radio Maintenance Division personnel shall.familiarize, <br />themselves with the rules and regulations pertinent to <br />the operation of the Fire Department radios as set <br />forth by the Federal Communications Commission. <br />
