4/14/69 (g) Ground test readings will be taken daily and re- corded on the proper form. The readings shall be taken on a rotation basis, and each shift will take the readings a week at a time. Section 8. MUTUAL AID: Requests for mutual aid not covered by official orders or memos must be verified by the Fire Chief, Executive Officer, Assistant Chief, Battalion Chief, or a member of the Board of Public Works and Safety. Section 9. BATTALION CHIEF: (a) Any memos from the Battalion Chief of Fire Alarm Signal maintenance pertaining to the care or use of equipment in the Alarm Station shall have the'same authority as if it came from the Chief of the FI re Department. (b) Any malfunction of any electrical equipment shall be reported to the Battalion Chief of the Fire Alarm Signal Maintenance. Section 10. GENERAL: (a) Fire Alarm Station personnel shall familiarize them -- selves with all pertinent rules and regulations govern- ing the operation of the Fire Department radios as prescribed by the Federal Communications Commission. (b) Fire Alarm Station personnel shall familiarize them- selves with loop boundaries, company districts, all streets within the city limits and keep abreast of the changing conditions. (c) All personnel of the Fire Alarm Station.shall be governed by the General Rules and Regulations of the -Fire Depart- ment. IV. RADIO MAINTENANCE DIVISION Section 1. PERSONNEL: Radio Maintenance Division personnel shall be under the control of the Fire Chief,.direction of the Executive Officer.and supervision of the Battalion Chief of the Instruction Bureau. Section 2. LIEUTENANT'iN CHARGE: (a), The Lieutenant in charge>of;radio.repair=shali,be re- sponsible for proper maintenance of`all Fire -Department radio equipment. (b) The Lieutenant in charge of Radio maintenance shall keep a record of all repairs plus an inventory or equip- ment. Section 3. UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL: Only authorized personnel shall be allowed to use radio repair equipment and Radio Maintenance Division facilities. Section 4. GENERAL: (a) Radio Maintenance Division personnel shall.familiarize, themselves with the rules and regulations pertinent to the operation of the Fire Department radios as set forth by the Federal Communications Commission.
