<br />ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3278, 1969 - AMERICAN TELEPHONE TELE-
<br />GRAPH COMPANY
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the,:following Resolution was adopted:
<br />"RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
<br />BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following:
<br />Part of the existing alleys located in Weaver's Sub-
<br />division in the city of South Bend, St. Joseph County,
<br />Indiana, being further described as follows:
<br />Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 8 in said Weaver's
<br />Subdivision; thence north along the east line of Lots 8, 9
<br />and 10 in said Subdivision 127.50 feet; thence east along the
<br />north line of the existing alley 32.0 feet; thence south
<br />parallel with the west line of Lot 7 and the east line of
<br />Lots 8, 9 and 10 in said Subdivision 16.50 feet to a point
<br />on the north line of the south 111.00 feet of Lot 7; thence
<br />west along said north line of the south 111.00 feet of Lot 7
<br />a distance of 22.0 feet; thence south along the west line of
<br />Lot 7 a distance of 111.00 feet to the southwest corner of
<br />said Lot; thence west 10.0 feet to the point of beginning.
<br />Reserving the rights and easements of all utilities and the
<br />Municipal City'of South Bend to construct and maintain any
<br />facilities, including but not limited to electric, telephone,
<br />gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and
<br />ditches within the vacated right of way unless such rights are
<br />.released by the individual utilities.
<br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially
<br />affected by such vacation:
<br />Bank out Lot No. 48 and Lots 6, 7, 8, 9 and'10 of Weaver's
<br />Subdivision of Bank Out Lots Nos. 49 and 50.
<br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the filth day of
<br />April and on the 18th day of April, 1969, in the South Bend Tribune
<br />and in the Tri County News.
<br />This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 21st day of
<br />April, 1969, at 10:00 A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from
<br />all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings.

<br />REQUEST FOR LOAN OF CITY CAR - EL CENTRO
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the.request of Fitancisco Esmerala, Jr.,
<br />on behalf of Centro Cristiano De La Comunidad, Inc., 404 S. Walnut Street, Indiana,
<br />for the loan of a City car for use in their activities of helping migratory
<br />farm workers, was denied, the City having no car available for lending.
<br />REQUEST TO HOLD BUDDY POPPY SALES - V.F.W. POSTS
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, permission was granted by the Board
<br />for South Bend V.F.W. Posts 1167, 3194, 3931, 3748, 9733 and 9820, 1041 L.W.E.
<br />South Bend, Indiana to hold their annual Poppy Sales on May 24, 1969, permission
<br />having also been granted by the Charitable Solicitations Committee for such
<br />sales.
