<br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3277 - EDMOND COURT
<br />Lloyd S. Taylor, City Engineer, file& assessment roll, showing award of
<br />damages and assessment of benefits in Vacation Resolution No. 3277, being
<br />for the vacation of:
<br />A portion of Edmond Court, situated between Notre Dame Avenue
<br />and Frances Street, from LaSalle Avenue south to the first
<br />east -west alley also known as Luther Court.
<br />Reserving the rights'of all public utilities and the Municipal
<br />City of South Bend to construct and maintain all publicly owned
<br />utilities, and surface water control structures and .ditches
<br />within the vacated right of way.
<br />In the above assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will'meet
<br />in the City Hall at 10:00 A.M. on the 21st day of April, 1969, for the
<br />purpose of hearing and receiving remonstrances from persons interested in
<br />or affected by said vacation, and th a Board further orders that notice.
<br />of said hearing, together with the amount of damages awarded and benefits
<br />assessed, be addressed to the property owners by publishing same on the
<br />4th day of April, the llth day of April and the 18th day of April, 1969,
<br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News.
<br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by
<br />such vacation:
<br />A parcel of land lying west of and adjacent to the alley to be
<br />vacated, said parcel having a frontage of 82.5 feet on LaSalle
<br />Avenue and a depth of 198 feet; also a parcel of land lying east
<br />of and adjacent to the alley to be vacated, said parcel having
<br />a frontage of 55 feet on LaSalle Avenue and a depth of 198 feet.

<br />PETITION TO IMPROVE DALE AVENUE, FROM EWING TO FOX STREET UNDER BARRETT LAW
<br />The petition of Marion and Faye Marquess, 929 E. Ewing Avenue, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, to pave Dale Avenue, from Ewing Avenue to Fox Street, according to
<br />Barrett Law,_ was filed with the Board and, upon motion made, seconded and
<br />carried, was referred to the City Engineer for study and recommendation.
<br />REQUEST TO HOLD PARADE - WEST SIDE VETERANS
<br />Certificate of insurance coverage having been provided, upon motion made,
<br />seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of West Side Veterans
<br />Memorial Committee, c/o Mr. Clem F. Hazinski, Program Chairman, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, to hold a Memorial Day parade on Friday, May 30, 1969, beginning
<br />at Olive and Ford Streets, at 9:00 A.M. and lasting about an hour and a half
<br />ending at Lombardy Street.
<br />ENGINEERING AGREEMENT,:- ENGINEERING PLANNING SERVICES, INC.- CHIPPEWA AREA
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the
<br />execution of a contract with Engineering Planning Services, Inc., 1520 N.
<br />Main Street, Mishawaka., Indiana, for engineering services in performing a
<br />study for the development and construction of a storm water drainage system.
<br />for the area east of Pennsylvania Railroad, -north of Ireland , west of
<br />Fellows -Street, and south of Donmoyer Street, subject to the availability
<br />of funds and the appropriation thereof by the Common Council from the
<br />Cumulative Building and Sinking Fund.
<br />LEASES - MO RRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM
<br />Lease with Universal Artists for "Johnny Cash Show" on March 27, 1969, and
<br />with Notre Dame Student Union Social Commission for "A Funny Thing Happened on
<br />the Way" to the Forum on March 21, 1969, were reviewed and ordered filed.
