3/31/69 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved <br />the request of the Sub -Standards Director for the following owners of <br />sub -standard properties to appear before the Board on April 14, 1969, <br />to show cause why such properties should not be demolished: Clifton <br />Gallup, Ruth and Fred Jones, Lottie King, Jack Chambers, Cora Williams, <br />Cornelius Walker, D. J. Simeri, and Andrew and Helen Shewman. And <br />the Clerk was directed to so notify said owners by certified mail. <br />804 E. Dubail. Repairs to this property not having been accomplished <br />upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board granted <br />permission to advertise for demolition of the premises. <br />505 E. Ohio Street. The house at this property has.previously been de- <br />molished and only the garage remains standing. The owner, Gloria <br />Palmer, has been notified and has faired to demolish or repair the <br />building. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, permission <br />was granted to advertise for bids for demolition of the structure. <br />715 George Avenue. Ann Niemiec, owner of this property, having been <br />notified by certified mail, and no response made, upon motion made, <br />seconded and unanimously carried, permission was granted to advertise for <br />C-1 bids for the demolition of this property. <br />909 Oak Street. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the <br />Board granted permission to advertise for bids for demolition of the <br />property. <br />AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION - ALLEY VACATION - A. T. & T. <br />In the matter of the petition of American Telephone and Telegraph Company <br />for the vacation of parts of existing alleys located in Weaver's <br />Subdivision, in the city of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />being further described as follows: <br />Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 8 in said Weaver's <br />Subdivision; thence north along the east line of Lots 8, 9 <br />and 10 in said Subdivision 127.50 feet; thence east along <br />the north line of the existing alley 32.0 feet; thence south <br />parallel with the west line of Lot 7 and the east line of <br />Lots 8, 9 and 10 in said Subdivision 16.50 feet to a point <br />on the north line of the south 111.00 feet of Lot 7; thence <br />west along said north line of the south 111.00 feet of Lot 7, <br />a distance of 22.0 feet; thence south along the west line <br />of Lot 7, a distance of 111.00 feet to the southwest corner <br />of said Lot; thence west 10.0 feet to the point of beginning. <br />and its petition to establish a new alley 13 feet in width beginning <br />at Wayne Street and running north to the meeting place thereof with an <br />alley running east and west, being: <br />Part of Lots 6 and 7 in Weaver's Subdivision in the city of <br />South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, further described as: <br />Beginning at a point on the south line of said Lot 7, being <br />22.0 feet east of the southwest corner of said Lot; thence <br />north parallel to the west line of said Lot 7, a distance of <br />111.00 feet; thence east along the north line of the south <br />111.00 feet of Lots 6 and 7, a distance of 13.00 feet; <br />thence south parallel to the west line of Lot 7, a distance of <br />111.00 feet to an iron pipe on the north line of Wayne Street <br />and south line of Lot 6; thence west along said line, 13.00 feet. <br />to the point of beginning. <br />Area Plan Commission recommends said petition favorably to the Board. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the petition was re- <br />ferred to the City Engineer for the preparation of a vacation resolution. <br />
