3/10/69 <br />APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT AS SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER - ames Mumford <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the recommendation of Thomas H. McNaughton <br />Police Chief, was approved and James Mumford appointed as special police officer. <br />Mr. Mumford is employed by Redden.Travel Bureau. <br />APPLICATION FOR APPOINTIVIENT - POLICE DEPART\,4ENT <br />The applications of: <br />James E. Roberts Patrick Galloway <br />Gerald J. ?`Nickels Eddie A. Faulkens <br />Clarence Kittrell <br />for appointment to the South Bend Police Department were filed with the Board <br />and referred to the Personnel Director for further processing. <br />ADOPTION - VACATION RESOLUTION NO 3277 1967- EUILOND COURT <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDLMIA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />a portion of Edmond Court, situated between Notre Dame <br />avenue and Frances Street, from LaSalle Avenue South to <br />the first east -west alley also known as Luther Court. <br />Reserving the rights of all public utilities and the <br />Tunicipal City of South Bend to construct and maintain <br />all publicly owned utilities and surface water control <br />structures and ditches within the vacated right of way. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected <br />by such vacation: <br />A parcel of land lying west of and adjacent to the alley <br />to be vacated, said parcel having a frontage of 82.5 <br />feet on LaSalle Avenue and a depth of 198 feet; also a <br />parcel of land lying east of and adjacent to the alley <br />to be vacated, said parcel having a frontage of 55 feet <br />on LaSalle Avenue and a depth of 198 feet. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 14th day of March <br />and on the 21st day of March, 1969, in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-county <br />News. <br />This Board at its office, in the City Hall on the 24th day of March, <br />1969, at 10:00 A.T.A. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons inter- <br />ested in or affected by these proceedings. <br />Adopted this loth day of Iarch, 1969. <br />Lloyd S, Taylor <br />S.
