3/10/69 APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT AS SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER - ames Mumford Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the recommendation of Thomas H. McNaughton Police Chief, was approved and James Mumford appointed as special police officer. Mr. Mumford is employed by Redden.Travel Bureau. APPLICATION FOR APPOINTIVIENT - POLICE DEPART\,4ENT The applications of: James E. Roberts Patrick Galloway Gerald J. ?`Nickels Eddie A. Faulkens Clarence Kittrell for appointment to the South Bend Police Department were filed with the Board and referred to the Personnel Director for further processing. ADOPTION - VACATION RESOLUTION NO 3277 1967- EUILOND COURT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDLMIA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: a portion of Edmond Court, situated between Notre Dame avenue and Frances Street, from LaSalle Avenue South to the first east -west alley also known as Luther Court. Reserving the rights of all public utilities and the Tunicipal City of South Bend to construct and maintain all publicly owned utilities and surface water control structures and ditches within the vacated right of way. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: A parcel of land lying west of and adjacent to the alley to be vacated, said parcel having a frontage of 82.5 feet on LaSalle Avenue and a depth of 198 feet; also a parcel of land lying east of and adjacent to the alley to be vacated, said parcel having a frontage of 55 feet on LaSalle Avenue and a depth of 198 feet. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 14th day of March and on the 21st day of March, 1969, in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-county News. This Board at its office, in the City Hall on the 24th day of March, 1969, at 10:00 A.T.A. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons inter- ested in or affected by these proceedings.
