<br />SALE OF STUDEBAKER TRUCK CAB AND FENDERS APPROVED
<br />Upon the recommendation of the City Engineer (and with the approval of the
<br />Mayor as provided by statute for the sale of municipally owned personal
<br />property of a value less than $500.00) the Board, upon motion made, seconded
<br />and carried, approves the sale of- one Studebaker truck cab and four fenders
<br />to Hertz System, Indiana Auto -Truck Rental Service, Inc., 117 W. LaSalle
<br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, for $225.00.
<br />CONTRACT AWARDED FOR COMMUNICATIONS MONITORING INSTRUMENT
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommenda-
<br />tion of the City Engineer for the award of contract for communications
<br />monitoring instrument for the Radio Maintenance Department to Cushman
<br />Electronics, Inc., 166 San Lazaro, Sunnyvale, California, 94086. "
<br />CONTRACT AWARDED FOR 8-CHANNEL DUAL RECORDER
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendation
<br />of the City Engineer, and contract for 8-channel dual recorder for the Alarm
<br />Station was awarded to Dictaphone Corporation, 60455 U. S. #30, South Bend,
<br />Indiana.
<br />CONTRACT AWARDED FOR DUMP BODIES COMPLETE WITH HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendation
<br />of the City Engineer and contract was awarded to Stanley Enterprises, 2808
<br />Tucker Drive, South Bend, Indiana, for nine dump bodies complete with hydraulic
<br />systems.
<br />RE: PROCEDURE FOR ISSUING PARKING METER BAGS
<br />The recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department,`1'or a proposed.
<br />procedure for issuing parking meter bags to contractors or others who must
<br />occupy curb space where there is a parking meter, was reviewed by the Board
<br />and, upon motion made, seconded and carried, was referred to the Legal Depart-
<br />ment for recommendation to the Board.
<br />"IN KIND" CONTRIBUTION VOUCHERS - A.C.T.I.O.N., INC.
<br />"In kind" rent vouchers for February, 1969, for Fire Station #5, 1040 Lincoln -
<br />way East ($169.58) and for Fire Station #7, 803 N.. Notre Dame Avenue ($200.00)
<br />from A.C.T.I.O.N., INC. were ordered filed.
<br />APPOINTMENT OF RONALD RAY HORLANDER - SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER
<br />The application of Ronald Ray Horlander, employed by American District
<br />Telegraph Company, for appointment as a special police officer, upon the
<br />recommendation of Chief of Police Thomas H. McNaughton, upon motion made,
<br />seconded and carried, was approved by the Board. And bond in the amount of
<br />$1,000.00 is fi1ed.wfth-:the,46ard, being a continuing .bond "until cancelled."
