14,111K �I 5/17/71 ROSE STREET TRAFFIC Upon motion made, seconded and carried by a vote of two to one, the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the following traffic regulations was approved: 1. Instal'1 a 25 mile per hour speed limit on Rose Street. 2. Install stop sign on Gordon at Rose Street (school crossing). 3. Replace yield signs with stop signs on Rose at Hass. 4. Install stop signs on Rose at 29th Street, 5. Install' miscellaneous school signage in the area. 6. Update existing signage in area. STREET LIGHT REQUEST - SOUTHMORE MUTUAL HOUSING CORPORATION Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of the Southmore Mutual Housing Corporation, by Dean M. Slayton, Manager, 400 E. Southmore Drive, South Bend, Indiana. for a street light at 3516'Langley Drive was referred to the Traffic Engineering Department for study and recommendation. STREET LIGHT REQUEST - 800 BLOCK E. CALVERT STREET Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Mrs. Joseph Klecka, 829 E. Calvert Street, South Bend, Indiana, and others for a street light to be re -installed at 829-901 E. Calvert Street, was referred to the Traffic Engineering Department for study and recommendation. TRAFFIC REGULATIONS APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, -the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the following traffic regulations were approved: Install a stop sign and post on the northwest corner of Ardmore Trail and Woodbine. Remove the yield sign and post and install a stop sign and post on the northwest corner of Sussex and Ardmore Trail. CONTRACTORS'BONDS APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following contractors' bonds were approved: Keith K. Carbiener - to 5/14/72 George T. Saff - to 5/11/72 Jacob W. Wagner, Jr. - to 5/10/72 EXCAVATION BOND APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried excavation bond on behalf of GCA, Inc. was approved for the period to 5/12/72. CONTRACTOR'S BOND TERMINATED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Western Surety Company Bond No. 4299668 for Edward H. Raynond was approved for termination for any work performed on and after May 17, 1971. CONSTRUCTION PRO�EET - IRELAND ROAD MICHIGAN TO MIAMI Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request of Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, to advertise for bids for the improvement of Ireland Road, from Michigan Street to Miami Street, by constructing a 3" overlay of the existing pavement and 12" full depth widening. June 1, 1971, at 10:00 A.M., was set as the date for receiving bids, and the Clerk is directed to give notice by publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on May 21 and May 28, 1971. 1 Fj
