14,111K <br />�I <br />5/17/71 <br />ROSE STREET TRAFFIC <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried by a vote of two to one, the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the following <br />traffic regulations was approved: <br />1. Instal'1 a 25 mile per hour speed limit on Rose Street. <br />2. Install stop sign on Gordon at Rose Street (school crossing). <br />3. Replace yield signs with stop signs on Rose at Hass. <br />4. Install stop signs on Rose at 29th Street, <br />5. Install' miscellaneous school signage in the area. <br />6. Update existing signage in area. <br />STREET LIGHT REQUEST - SOUTHMORE MUTUAL HOUSING CORPORATION <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of the Southmore Mutual <br />Housing Corporation, by Dean M. Slayton, Manager, 400 E. Southmore Drive, <br />South Bend, Indiana. for a street light at 3516'Langley Drive was referred <br />to the Traffic Engineering Department for study and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT REQUEST - 800 BLOCK E. CALVERT STREET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Mrs. Joseph Klecka, <br />829 E. Calvert Street, South Bend, Indiana, and others for a street light <br />to be re -installed at 829-901 E. Calvert Street, was referred to the <br />Traffic Engineering Department for study and recommendation. <br />TRAFFIC REGULATIONS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, -the recommendation of the Traffic <br />Engineering Department for the following traffic regulations were approved: <br />Install a stop sign and post on the northwest corner of Ardmore <br />Trail and Woodbine. <br />Remove the yield sign and post and install a stop sign and post <br />on the northwest corner of Sussex and Ardmore Trail. <br />CONTRACTORS'BONDS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following contractors' bonds <br />were approved: <br />Keith K. Carbiener - to 5/14/72 <br />George T. Saff - to 5/11/72 <br />Jacob W. Wagner, Jr. - to 5/10/72 <br />EXCAVATION BOND APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried excavation bond on behalf of GCA, <br />Inc. was approved for the period to 5/12/72. <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND TERMINATED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Western Surety Company Bond No. 4299668 <br />for Edward H. Raynond was approved for termination for any work performed on <br />and after May 17, 1971. <br />CONSTRUCTION PRO�EET - IRELAND ROAD MICHIGAN TO MIAMI <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, to <br />advertise for bids for the improvement of Ireland Road, from Michigan Street <br />to Miami Street, by constructing a 3" overlay of the existing pavement and <br />12" full depth widening. <br />June 1, 1971, at 10:00 A.M., was set as the date for receiving bids, and the <br />Clerk is directed to give notice by publication in the South Bend Tribune and <br />the Tri County News on May 21 and May 28, 1971. <br />1 <br />Fj <br />
