5/17/71 <br />IMPROVEMENT - LOMBARDY DRIVE SIDEWALK - RESCINDED <br />For the improvement of Lombardy Drive, from Western Avenue to Washington <br />Street, by constructing a sidewalk on the east side. <br />Abutting property owners have constructed the sidewalk at their own expense. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that the Board now notify Clyde E. <br />Williams and Associates, Inc. to stop work on the project and that <br />engineering fees incurred be approved for payment. <br />IMPROVEMENT - SUMMIT DRIVE SIDEWALK - RESCINDED <br />For the improvement of Summit Drive, west side, from approximately 350 <br />feet south of Western Avenue to approximately 600 feet north of Western <br />Avenue, by constructing a sidewalk. <br />Abutting property owners have constructed the sidewalk at their own expense. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that the Board now notify Clyde E. <br />Williams and Associates Inc. to stop work on the project and that <br />engineering fees incurred be approved for payment. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3323 1970 - HUMBOLDT STREET - RESCINDED <br />The vote of the abutting property owners on said improvement being two for <br />the improvement and two against the.improvenent, and each side strongly <br />for the improvement or strongly against the improvement, the motion was <br />made to reject all bids received for said improvement on November 23, 1970, <br />and to rescind Improvement Resolution No. 3323, 1970. The motion was <br />seconded and carried. <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 332+;, 1970 <br />OLIVE STREET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, plans and specifications <br />approved by the Board on August 17, 1970, for the improvement of Olive <br />Street, from Ford Street to Western Avenue, by constructing a concrete <br />sidewalk and curb repair, are hereby adopted and placed on file. <br />June 7, 1971, at the hour of 9:30 A.M., in Room 1308 County City Building, <br />South Bend, Indiana, was set as the time and place for receiving bids for <br />said improvement, and the Clerk is directed to give notice by publication <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on May 21 and May 28, <br />1971. <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />CONTRACT AWARDED <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION N0. 3330, 1970 - ALLEYS BETWEEN HUEY AND O'BRIEN <br />For the improvement of the alleys between Huey and O'Brien Street, from <br />Humboldt Street to the tee and east and west from Huey to O'Brien, by <br />constructing a Class C, Type I concrete pavement. <br />Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, having examined <br />the bids received on May 10, 1971, for said improvement, finds that McIntyre <br />and Jones Construction Company, Inc. has the lowest and best bid for Class C, <br />Type I concrete pavement. And the Board, being duly advised in the <br />premises decides that the bid of McIntyre and Jones Construction Company <br />is the lowest and best b.id and, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously <br />carried awards contract for said improvement to McIntyre and Jones Construction <br />Company, Inc., upon its bid of $9,787.60 for Class C, Type t concrete pavement. <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS APPROVED <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3341, 1971 ADOPTED <br />NORTH IRONWOOD (SIDEWALK) / <br />Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, file with the <br />Board preliminary plans, specifications, estimates and preliminary improve- <br />ment resolution for the improvement of North Ironwood Drive, from Bader <br />Avenue to Corby Street, by constructing a public sidewalk. <br />
