Wenger Street <br />Midwest Demolition Corporation $431.00 <br />Vanek Wrecking and'Excavating Co. $451.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $629.00 <br />B & J Demolition Co.' $695.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Co. $713.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 507 E. We'nger Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition <br />Corporation on its low bid of $431.00. <br />1005-1007 S. Carroll Street. The Sub -Standards Director reported the low <br />bid for the demolition of the structure at 1005-1007 S. Carroll Street was <br />submitted by Bryant Excavating Company at $2,328.00 for emergency demolition <br />and contract awarded accordingly. <br />Request for sub -standard property owners to appear before the Board 6/1/71 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of the Sub -Standards Director <br />was approved for the following persons to appear before the Board June 1, 1971: <br />Doris M. Estate <br />of Stanley Bargielski <br />1410 <br />Portage Avenue <br />Alice Eckler Lahey <br />129 <br />E. <br />Paris Street <br />Audie G. and Grace Melson <br />622 <br />S. <br />Rush Street <br />MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM - REQUEST FOR FUNDS FOR HEATING NEEDS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of Floyd Jessup, Manager, Morris Civic Auditorium, for an appropriation <br />of $5,000.00 from Account E-11 (services personal) to Account K-A23 (heat) <br />and the request was referred to the Legal Department for the preparation of <br />an ordinance for the consideration of the Common Council. <br />MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY - REQUEST TO ATTEND TRAINING COURSE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of the Municipal Services Facility Manager for Mike Laskowski and Mike <br />Borror to attend a training course at the General Motors Training Center, <br />Hinsdale, Illinois, for a one week course on"Charging Systems"commencing <br />June 1, 1971, and for a one week course commencing June 21, 1971, 1971 <br />on "Engine Tune Up." Public Service Careers will pay the room and board for <br />these courses and there is no tuition charge. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR GASOLINE AND FUEL OIL <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the request of the <br />Purchasing Department for permission to advertise for gasoline and fuel oil <br />for the period July 1, 1971 through December 31, 1971, was approved. June 1, <br />1971, was set as the time for receiving bids, and the Clerk was directed to <br />advertise for bids ini the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on <br />May 21 and May-28, 1971. <br />REQUEST TO CANCEL SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSIONS - AMERICAN DISTRICT TELEGRAPH <br />COMPANY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of <br />the American District Telegraph Company, 224 W. Jefferson Boulevard, South <br />Bend, Indiana, by Harold R. Riley, Manager,for the cancellation of special <br />police commissions of the following special police officers employed by <br />the American District Telegraph Company: <br />Arthur L.
