<br />PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY.- ROY H. POLLOCK,
<br />Roy H. Pollock, 1712 S. Fellows Street, South Bend, Indiana, filed with
<br />the Board a petition to vacate:
<br />An alley commencing at a point on the west line of Lot 55
<br />in Henry Studebaker's First Addition to the city of South
<br />Bend, 120 feet south of the northwest corner of said Lot
<br />55; thence due east 130 feet; thence south 45 feet; thence
<br />west 10 feet; thence north 35 feet; thence west 120 feet
<br />to the east line of Fellows Street; thence north 10 feet
<br />on said east line of Fellows Street to the place of be-
<br />ginning.
<br />together with a cost deposit of $65.00. Upon motion made, seconded and
<br />carried, the petition was referred to the Engineering Department and to
<br />the Area Plan Commission, simultaneously, for recommendation to the Board.
<br />PLANS APPROVED - INDIANA PROJECT 6:6, PHASE I
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, plans submitted for
<br />the central downtown renewal project, Indiana Project 6;6, Phase I, were
<br />approved by the Board.
<br />TAXICAB TRANSFER - FORREST HEFLICK TO THOMAS J. NATE
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the request of Thomas
<br />J. Nate for the transfer of Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity
<br />from Forrest Heflick to Thomas J. Nate for Taxicab ##9 was approved, upon
<br />the condition that the vehicle passes inspection and upon the filing of a
<br />certificate of liability insurance with the City of South Bend by Thomas
<br />J. Nate.
<br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - APPROVAL TO ATTEND INSPECTORS' SCHOOL
<br />The request of the Building Commissioner April 14, 1971, for permission to
<br />attend the Indiana Inspectors' School in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 18 to
<br />21, 1971, along with Inspector Albert Fout, Hunter Gentry, Jack Hendricks,
<br />Joseph Hiznay, Harry Leslie-, Niezgodski, approved by the Board April 14,
<br />1971, is hereby made of record in these minutes.
<br />COMPLAINT - TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON ROSE STREET
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, a complaint and petition in reference
<br />to speeding on Rose Street, signed by Robert Hollister, 1710 Crestwood and
<br />305 other persons, was referred to the Traffic Engineering Department for
<br />study and recommendation.
<br />COMPLAINT - MRS. IRENE MUTYL
<br />Mrs. Irene Mutzl, 320 Parkovash, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the
<br />Board and complained of the condition of the property at 315 Parkovash Street.
<br />The Sub -Standards Director, present at the meeting, stated complaints had
<br />come to his attention concerning the property and that the Sub -Standards
