4/19/71 <br />Department will look into the matter. <br />REQUEST TO HOLD PARADE - MAURICE MATTHYS LITTLE LEAGUE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of William Reed, 169 Walton Street, South Bend, Indiana, for the <br />Maurice Matthys Little League to hold a parade, with police escort, on <br />May 22, 1971, commencing at 9:30 A.M. and lasting approximately 45 minutes, <br />the parade route being: Meadow Lane, Edison, Village Way, Bonfield, Gladstone, <br />Linden, Lombardy, Ford and Sample.Streets, subject to proper insurance <br />coverage to hold the City of South Bend harmless. <br />REQUEST TO HOLD "MARCH" - MARION HIGH SCHOOL <br />Upon motion made, seconded and. carried, the Board approved the request of <br />Rev. Donald R. Verhagan, Marian High School, 1311 S. Logan Street, Mishawaka, <br />Indiana, for students and staff of Marion High School to hold a "March for <br />Marion" of approximately 15 miles through the cities of Mishawaka and South <br />Bend between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 2:30 P.M., April 28, 1971, in <br />connection with its fund raising drive, subject to coordination with the <br />South Bend Police Department for the South Bend area. <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS PROMULGATED BY MAYOR'S CITY EMPLOYEES SAFETY COMMITTEE <br />APPROVED <br />Upon motion made,by Mr. Crumpacker, seconded by Mr. Bickel, and unanimously <br />carried, the Board approved the rules and regulations promulgated by the <br />Mayor's City Employees Safety Committee in cooperation with the representative <br />of the Teamsters' Local Union No. 364, governing City employees, as submitted <br />by Clem F. Hazinski April 5, 1971. <br />STREET LIGHT PETITION <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, petition for a street light on <br />Donmoyer Street between Fellows Street and Erskine Boulevard, filed with <br />the Board by Ralph R. Powers, 518 Donmoyer Street, South Bend, Indiana, and <br />11 others, was referred to the Traffic Engineering Department for study and <br />recommendation to the Board. <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND APPROVED <br />Contractor's bond for John Pask, Jr., to 4/12/71 was approved and ordered <br />filed. <br />VACATION PROCEEDINGS - COST DEPOSIT $75.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Clerk of the Board <br />is authorized to increase the deposit for vacation proceedings from $65.00 <br />to $75.00. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the period 4/7/71 to 4/16/71 were ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting ad- <br />journed at 10:55 A.M. <br />� Ilie- <br />yd S.
