2/8/71 <br />AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION AND ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3335 - <br />MAR1E J. PFEIL <br />Area Plan Commission recommends favorably the vacation of the east -west <br />alley between Navarre and Marion Streets, in the city of South Bend, <br />Indiana, upon the petition of Marie J. Pfeil. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following Resolution <br />was adopted. <br />"RESOLUTION NO. 3335, 1971 <br />"RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to <br />vacate the following: <br />The first east -west alley between Navarre <br />and Marion Streets from Michigan Street east <br />165 feet to the first north -south alley. Alley <br />to be vacated is between Lots 126 and 127 in the <br />original plat of South Bend. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all utilities <br />and the municipal city of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and <br />Q maintain any facilities, including, but not limited to, the <br />following: electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface <br />water control structures and ditches, within the vacated right <br />of way, unless such rights are released by the individual <br />utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously,or <br />beneficially affected by such vacation: <br />Lots 126 and 127 in the original plat of South Bend. <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the <br />12th day of February, 1971, and on the 19th day of February, <br />1971, in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri County News. <br />This Board, at its office, on the 22nd day of February, <br />1971, at 9:30 o'clock, A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances <br />from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. <br />Pdopted this 8th day of February, 1971. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY <br />Lloyd S. Bickel <br />ATTEST: <br />Doris Allen, Clerk." <br />PETITION FILED TO VACATE PORTIONS OF KANKAKEE AVENUE KALEY STREET <br />AND TWO ALLEYS - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT INDIANA R-57 <br />The Department of Redevelopment, County City Building, South Bend, Indiana, <br />files with the Board its petition to vacate the following <br />(1) Kankakee Avenue between the west line of the north -south <br />alley west of Kaley Street and the east line extended <br />northerly of Lot 686. <br />(2) Kaley Street between 40 feet north of the north line <br />of Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue. <br />(3) The north -south alley, between Kaley Street and Meade <br />Street, between 40 feet north of the north line of <br />Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue. <br />(4) The east -west alley, between Washington Street and <br />Colfax Avenue, between the west line of Kaley Street <br />and the east line of the first north -south alley west <br />of Kaley Street. Said vacation subject to 14 foot <br />
