2/8/71 AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION AND ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3335 - MAR1E J. PFEIL Area Plan Commission recommends favorably the vacation of the east -west alley between Navarre and Marion Streets, in the city of South Bend, Indiana, upon the petition of Marie J. Pfeil. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted. "RESOLUTION NO. 3335, 1971 "RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: The first east -west alley between Navarre and Marion Streets from Michigan Street east 165 feet to the first north -south alley. Alley to be vacated is between Lots 126 and 127 in the original plat of South Bend. Reserving the rights and easements of all utilities and the municipal city of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and Q maintain any facilities, including, but not limited to, the following: electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the individual utilities. The following property may be injuriously,or beneficially affected by such vacation: Lots 126 and 127 in the original plat of South Bend. Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 12th day of February, 1971, and on the 19th day of February, 1971, in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri County News. This Board, at its office, on the 22nd day of February, 1971, at 9:30 o'clock, A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. PETITION FILED TO VACATE PORTIONS OF KANKAKEE AVENUE KALEY STREET AND TWO ALLEYS - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT INDIANA R-57 The Department of Redevelopment, County City Building, South Bend, Indiana, files with the Board its petition to vacate the following (1) Kankakee Avenue between the west line of the north -south alley west of Kaley Street and the east line extended northerly of Lot 686. (2) Kaley Street between 40 feet north of the north line of Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue. (3) The north -south alley, between Kaley Street and Meade Street, between 40 feet north of the north line of Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue. (4) The east -west alley, between Washington Street and Colfax Avenue, between the west line of Kaley Street and the east line of the first north -south alley west of Kaley Street.
