2/8/71 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Richard B. Liszewski, Sub -Standards Director, appeared before the Board and <br />the following matters were taken up. <br />1613 S. Leer Street. Mr. Liszewski reported this property is still in the <br />same condition --that it is open and the debris has not been removed. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Sub -Standards Director was authorized <br />to seek bids to secure the structure and clean up the premises at 1613 S. <br />Leer Street. <br />Request for sub -standard property owners to appear before the Board 1/22/71 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of <br />the Sub Standards Director for the owners of the following properties to <br />appear before the Board on February 22, 1971, to show cause, if any they <br />have, why such properties should not be demolished: <br />321 N. Johnson Street - <br />Ervin <br />J. and Mary Ann <br />Cudowski <br />'JO <br />IN KIND RENT VOUCHERS - A.C.T.I.O.N., <br />Inc. <br />In -kind rent vouchers from A.C.T.I.O,.N., <br />Inc. <br />for the month <br />of February, 1971., <br />for Fire Station #5 in the amount of <br />$283.34, <br />Fire Station #7 <br />in the amount <br />of $283.58 and Fire Station #8 in the <br />amount <br />of $283.58 were <br />Ordered filed. <br />-41 <br />APPLICATION FOR TAXICAB DRIVER'S LICENSE APPROVED - DAVID O1gEAL <br />HARRIS <br />David O'Neal Harris appeared before the Board in connection with the denial <br />of his application for a taxicab driver's license. After a discussion <br />in reference to charges and traffic violations appearing against him and <br />satisfactory explanations having been made to the Board by Mr. Harris, <br />upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the granting of a taxicab <br />driver's license to Mr. Harris was approved by the Board. <br />ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE - MUNICIPAL PARKING GARAGES #1 AND #2 <br />The City Engineer submitted the following quotations for elevator maintenance <br />in Municipal Barking Garages #1 and #2: <br />Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Elevator Division, 2400 <br />Merchandise Mart Plaza, Chicago, Illinois, 60654. <br />Limited service, per month, per elevator - $ 92.75 <br />Full service, per month, per elevator - - - $142.75 <br />Economy Elevators, Inc., 3812 W. Indiana Ave., Elkhart, Indiana: <br />Limited service, per month, per elevator- - -$ 55.00 <br />Full service, per month, per elevator - - --$200.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, upon the recommendation <br />of the Purchasing Department and the City Engineer, the Board accepted the <br />proposal of Westinghouse Electric Corporation for limited service at $92.75 <br />per month, per elevator, and contract was executed for the period of five <br />years commencing February 1, 1971, cancelable at the end of any subsequent <br />year upon 90 days notice. <br />DEDICATION APPROVED - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3280 - STEPHEN J. BOSKEY <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that the grant of easement to the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana, from the Lake County Trust Company, an Indiana <br />corporation, as Trustee under Trust No. 1575, by Anna L.
