2 91;1 <br />12/28/70 <br />REQUEST TO PARK TRAILER DENIED - JOSEPH S. SCHREINER, LOCAL #875 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Joseph S. Schreiner, <br />President of Local #875, Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators and Paperhangers, <br />53120 N. Twyckenham Drive, South Bend, Indiana, to park a trailer on the <br />north side of W. Washington Street, in the 1900 block, between the curb <br />and the sidewalk, to be used as an office and first aid station, during <br />a strike in process at a nearby business, was denied. <br />CULVERT ON IRONWOOD NEAR RIDGEDALE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved two changes in <br />the original plans for the construction of the culvert on Ironwood Drive <br />near Ridgedale and the additional cost of $238.00, and accepted the report <br />of the Engineering Department that the project has been satisfactorily <br />completed. <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS APPROVED - GILMER PARK SEWER, DIVISION A <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, plans and specifications for the <br />Gilmer Park Sewer, Division A, were approved, as recommended by the <br />qp <br />Engineering Departrent. <br />PANEL ADS, INC. - LIABILITY INSURANCE <br />Notice of cancellation of liability insurance, effective 12/29/70, for <br />Panel Ads, Inc., having been received from the Hanover Insurance Company, <br />the Board orders that evidence of proper insurance coverage be provided <br />immediately by Panel Ads, Inc. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12-28-70 ADOPTED - GILMER PARK SEWER, DIVISIONS A, B & C <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following Resolution was <br />adopted: <br />"RESOLUTION N0. 12-28-70 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety has found <br />it in the best interest of the public health and welfare to <br />construct a sanitary trunk sewer from Ireland Road and Penn <br />Central right -of way to Jackson Road and Scott Street, south on <br />Scott Street to Jewell Avenue, west on Jewell to Ruby Street, <br />south on Ruby to Ritter Avenue extended, east on Ritter Avenue <br />extended to Main Street, and east along a natural ditch line <br />to Fellows Street and Johnson Road; and <br />WHEREAS, The cost of said sewer was paid for out of <br />funds known as "cumulative sewer building and sinking fund" <br />and not assessed against the property owners; and <br />WHEREAS, The construction of said sewer is a benefit <br />to the abutting properties; and <br />WHEREAS, The policy of the Board of Public Works and <br />Safety is to charge the benefited property at a rate of 7� per <br />square foot up to 150 feet in depth from the property line; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the fee for connection <br />to the above described sewer be at the rate of 7� per square <br />foot up to a depth of 150 feet from the property line closest <br />to the sewer. <br />Dated this 28th day of December, 1970. <br />s/ Lloyd S. Crumpacker <br />present. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR TWO-WAY RADIOS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request to <br />advertise for two way radios for the various departments, and set January 18, <br />1971 as the date for receiving bids.
