Wenger Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition Company <br />on its low bid of $829.00. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3331, 1970 - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />For the vacation of portions of Leon Court, Catalpa Street and Chapin Street; <br />and portions of five north -south alleys between Prairie and Catalpa Streets, <br />Catalpa and Chapin Street and Chapin and Kendall Streets. <br />Mr. Slabaugh of the Department of Redevelopment appeared before the Board <br />and stated he had met with Mr. Harry Delinski, 1502 S. Catalpa Avenue, and <br />that Mr. Delinski objects to a lack of parking in front of his house. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued until December <br />21, 1970, and Mr. Slabaugh was requested to inform Mr. andMrs. Delinski and <br />Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jonas of the further hearing on that date. <br />DEDICATION OF STREETS - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT - PROJECT INDIANA R-56 <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried to approve a resolution for <br />dedication of certain areas in Project R-56 and to maintain and repair <br />s aid streets upon the completion of the construction in accordance with <br />plans and specifications previously approved by said board. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3332 1970 - 36TH <br />STREET AND ALLEYS <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll in Vacation <br />Resolution No. 3332, 1970, for the vacation of: <br />36th Street, from the south line of Lots 40 and 65 north to the <br />south line of Washington Street. Also, the north -south alley <br />lying between 35th and 36th Streets from the south line of Lots <br />101 and 62 north to the south line of Washington Street. Also, <br />the east -west alley, running from 35th to 36th Street and lying <br />between Lots 101 and 102 and Lots 61 and 62. Also, the east -west <br />alley running from 36th Street east to the first north -south alley <br />and lying.between Lots 43 and 44. All in Belmont Addition to the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Proofs of Publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on <br />November 20, November 27 and December 4, 1970, were read and found to be <br />proper. No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances <br />having been received, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the assess- <br />
