<br />AGREEMENT FOR MAINTENANCE OF STREETS AND IIGHWAYS
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following agreement
<br />was approved and executed by the Board and submitted to the Board of Commissioners
<br />of St. Joseph County, Indiana for approval:
<br />"AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA
<br />AND THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,..RELATIVE TO
<br />MAINTENANCE OF HIGHWAYS
<br />"in order to eliminate confusion relative to maintenance
<br />of roads and streets in cases where the city limits of the city of
<br />South Bend pass along or within the right of way of said road and
<br />street, the Board of Commissioners of St. Joseph County, Indiana,
<br />and the Board of Public Works and Safety of the city of South Bend,.
<br />Indiana, hereby agree that this responsibility shall be divided as
<br />follows:
<br />St. Joseph County agrees to furnish, for the following
<br />streetsand roads, all maintenance, including snow plowing, drain-
<br />age, surface maintenance, sealing or resurfacing, and all other
<br />items which may be required to keep said streets and roads in a
<br />good state of repair:
<br />Woodland Avenue, from Edison to Ardmore;
<br />Lilac Road, from Southleas to 2000 feet north;
<br />Darden Road, from Lilac Road to Scott Street;
<br />Ironwood Road, from Rohrer to Jackson;
<br />Chippewa Avenue, from Linden Road to 2400 feet east;
<br />Linden Road, from Chippewa to 1600 feet south of Ewing;
<br />Kern Road, from Miami to Ironwood;
<br />Ironwood Road, from Jackson to Kern;
<br />Cleveland Road, from Maple Road to Butternut Road;
<br />Cleveland Road, from Lilac Road to Kenilworth Road.
<br />The City of South Bend agrees to furnish, for the follow-
<br />ing streets and roads, all maintenance, including snow plowing,
<br />drainage, surface maintenance, sealing or resurfacing, and all
<br />other items which may be required to keep said streets and roads
<br />in a, -good state of repair:
<br />Bendix Drive, from Lathrop Avenue to 1500 feet south;
<br />Angela Avenue, from Notre Dame Avenue to Eddy Street;
<br />Edison Road, from Ivy Road to one-half block east of Rosemary;
<br />Rose Street, from one-half block east of Ironwood to one-half
<br />block east of 29th Street;
<br />Dunn Street, from Hickory to Crestwood;
<br />Hickory Road, from Dunn to Edison Road;
<br />Hickory Road, from Corby to Edison Road;
<br />Ironwood Road, from Ewing to Inwood Road;
<br />Jackson Road, from Miami to Carroll Street;
<br />Douglas Road, from Lathrop to Butternut Road.
