The owner of this property having advised verbally <br />that he wishes to turn this property over to the City, the Sub -Standards <br />Director was requested to contact the owner to determine what he intends <br />to do with this property. <br />2410-2412 W. Ford Street. Morris Rosen, attorney for Gene Arnett, owner <br />of the property at 2 10-2412 W. Ford Street, submitted to the Board the <br />consent of Midwest Demolition Corporation to rescind its contract with the <br />City of South Bend for the demolition of this structure; and deposited <br />$25.00 with the Clerk of the Board for the benefit of Midwest Demolition <br />Company. Thereupon, the motion was made, seconded and carried to hold <br />the matter of the contract between the City of South Bend and the.Midwest <br />Demolition Company in abeyance until December 7, 1970. <br />Demolition bids received; <br />This being the date set, bids for demolition of structures at the follow- <br />ing addresses were opened. Cedar Street: <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $389.00 <br />B & J Demolition Co. $300.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co.$399.00 - <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 1134 E. Cedar Street was awarded to B & J Demolition <br />Company on its low bid of $300.00, subject to the availability of funds. <br />830 S. Rush Street <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $329.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $500.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 830 S. Rush Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition <br />Company on its low bid of $329.00, subject to availability of funds. <br />1318 Hillcrest Road: <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $972.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $569.00 <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 1318 Hillcrest Road be awarded to Midwest Demolition <br />Company on its low bid of $569.00 and that the contract be entered into <br />November 30, 1970, subject to the availability of funds. <br />Request for sub -standard property owners to appear beforethe Board 12/7/70 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of the Sub -Standards Director for the following persons to appear <br />before the Board December 7, 1970, to show cause, if any they have, why <br />the following structures should not be demolished: <br />1014 <br />S. <br />Fellows St. <br />- First Bank & Trust Co., Exec.
