11/16/70 <br />2501 W. Linden Street. The Sub -Standards Director reported that this <br />structure has been under surveillance of the Sub -Standards Department <br />since 1968; that at one time five families lived in the building;_ and <br />that all tenants have now been relocated. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the matter of 2501 W. Linden Street was continued one week <br />to further consider the advisability of demolition. <br />1002 Culver Place. No one appeared to represent the owner, John T. Siewert, <br />who lives in K4sconsin. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Sub - <br />Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the <br />structure at 1002 Culver Place. <br />128 S. Laurel Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter <br />of 128 S. Laurel Street was continued one week for the owner to obtain <br />bids for demolition. - - <br />1109 W. Colfax. The Clerk tendered a letter from Mrs. W. F. Scott stating <br />they are obtaining estimates for rehabilitating the property._ Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued one week <br />for Mrs. Scott to advise of her intentions in regard to the building and <br />to deposit $25.00 with the Clerk of the Board for the benefit of the low <br />Aa <br />contract bidder in the event she intends to rehabilitate the premises. <br />Q132 E. Elder Street. The Clerk -tendered a letter from Mrs. Fisher, daughter <br />of the owner, who looks after the property, agreeing to the demolition of <br />the structure at 132 E. Elder Street. Thereupon, bids received 11/9/70 <br />for demolition of the structure were opened. Non collusion affidavits were <br />examined and found to be proper. The bids were: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $700.00 <br />B & G Demolition Company $835.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Company $669.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 132 E. Elder Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition <br />Company on its low bid of $669.00. <br />Other demolition bids opened: <br />This being the date set, bids for demolition of the following structures <br />were opened. Rush Street was awarded to O'Neal Trucking Company <br />on its low bid of $523.00. <br />1212 S. Franklin Street. <br />Bryant Excavating Company $875.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $580.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Company $669.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 1212 S. Franklin Street was awarded to O'Neal Trucking <br />Company on its low bid of $580.00. <br />
