11/9/70 1282 S. Laurel Street. Mr. Adamsohoreported the owner will demolish this structure and the matter, upon motion made, seconded and carried, was con- tinued one week. 423 S. Harris Street. Mr. Adamson reported he has received a letter from Charles Hahn, owner, enclosing a deed to the property, and stated that the building has been vandalized and stripped. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Sub -Standards Director was, authorized to seek bids for demolition of the structure at 423 S. Harris Street. 132 E. Elder Street. Mrs. Fisher, daughter of the owner, appeared before the Board and stated she has been unable, to reach her attorney and asked a continuance. It was moved, seconded .and carried that the matter pertaining to 132 E. Elder Street be continued one week and that the bids already received be held unopened until next Monday's session. 722 S. Rush Street. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the structure at 722 S. Rush Street. e-i 1212 S. Franklin Street.. Neither Anthony nor Goldie Lane appeared before the Board as requested.. Mr. Adamson reported the house has been completely gutted by fire. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the structure at 1212 S. Franklin Street. 1210 South Bend.Avenue. Mr. Adamson reported the new owners have been notified of the requirements to bring the building up to standard. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter of 1210 South Bend Avenue was continued indefinitely and. the Sub -Standards Director was requested to keep the property under surveillance., 2116 Western. Upon the request of Mr. Adamson, the matter of 2116 Western Avenue, upon motion made, seconded and carried, was continued two weeks. 118 E. Paris Street. Mr. Adamson reported that a certified notice to the owner was returned "unclaimed." That the house has had a fire and is wide open. That the owner has advised him that he intends to do nothing to the property. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter of 118 E. Paris Street was continued one week, and the Sub -Standards Director was re- quested to attempt personal delivery of notice upon the owner. 2018 S. Michigan Street. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter of 2618 S. Michigan Street was continued two weeks at the request of the Sub -Standards Director. Demolition bids opened. This being the date set, bids were opened for demolition of the following structures. Non collusion affidavits were -examined and found to be proper. The bids were as follows: 2712 S. Main Street: O'Neal Trucking Company $685.00 Midwest Demolition Co. $529.00 Upon motion made. seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition of the structure at 2712 S. Main Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition Company on its low bid of $529.00. 128 11. Harris Street: O'Neal Trucking Company $618.00 Midwest Demolition Co. $649.00 B & J Demolition Co. $635.00 Upon.motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition of the structure at 128 E. Harris Street was awarded to O'Neal�Trucking Company on its low bid of $618.00. 1109 W. Colfax.Avenue. Mrs. Scott, owner, appeared before the Board and stated they have been o—u-t--oT town because of a death in the family; that the house is vacant; and that they intend to rehabilitate it.
