Catalpa <br />Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, all of whom were concerned <br />with ingress and <br />egress rby the <br />closing of portions of Catalpa and Chapin <br />Streets without <br />provision for a <br />turn around. <br />After hearing all who wished to speak, the hearing was continued for <br />further study and recommendation regarding ingress and egress for certain <br />residents. And the Clerk was directed to notify the above named persons <br />of the date set for further hearing. <br />PLANS ANDSPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED - IMPROVEMENT.RESOLUTION NO. 3323 - <br />HUMBOLDT STREET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved and <br />ordered placedon file profiles, drawings, plans, specifications and estimates <br />filed with the Board by Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., for the im- <br />provement of .Humboldt Street, from Elmer Street to Huey, by constructing a <br />Class C pavement with curbs. <br />November 23, 1970, at 9:30 A.M., was fixed as the time for receiving.bids <br />for the construction of said work, and the Clerk was directed to give notice <br />by publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on <br />November 6 and November 13, 1970. <br />CONTRACT AWARDED FOR CONSTRUCTION OF HEPLER-34TH STREET STORM SEWER AND <br />LAGOON "A" <br />Charles W. Cole & Son, consulting engineers, file with the Board its <br />recommendation for the award of contract for the construction of the Hepler- <br />34th Street storm sewer and Lagoon "A" to Woodruff & Sons, Inc., as the lowest and <br />best bid, over-all. <br />The Board being duly advised in the premises, upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, contract for such construction was awarded to <br />Woodruff & Sons, Inc., on the basis of their alternate bid of $65 878.65. <br />REQUEST TO MOVE HOUSE FROM 2111 S. MIAMI TO 1021 E. ECKMAN (CONT. FROM 10/26/70) <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter pertaining to <br />the removal of the house from 2111 S. Miami Street to 1021 E. Eckman Street <br />was further continued one week. ' <br />REQUEST OF INDIANA CAB COMPANY - CAB STANDS ON MAIN AND WASHINGTON STREETS <br />Clem F. Hazinski, Director of Traffic Engineering, files with the Board his <br />recommendation that two cab spaces in the 200 block on West Washington Street, <br />just west of the alley on the north side of the street; and two cab spaces in <br />the 100 block on North Main Street, on the west side of the street, be <br />granted to the Indiana Cab Company. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was referred <br />to the City Controller for review and recommendation. <br />
