11/2/70 <br />Demolition bids opened; <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for demolition of the following <br />structures, bids were opened. Non collusion affidavits were found to be <br />proper and the bids were as follows <br />122 N. St. Louis Street. (accessory building) <br />B & J Demolition Co. <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. <br />$185.00 <br />$150.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract for deriholition of the accessory <br />strwcture at 122 N. St. Louis Street was awarded to O'Neal Trucking Company <br />on its low bid of $150.00. <br />722 E. Miner Street. <br />B & J Demolition Co. $600.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $533.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co.- $600.00 <br />Upon motion made seconded and carried, contract for demolition of the <br />structure at 722 E. Miner Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition Company <br />on its low bid of $533.00. <br />Request for owners of sub -standard properties to appear before Board 11/16/70 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of the <br />Sub -Standards Director for the following persons to appear before the Board <br />on November 16, 1970, to show cause why, if any, the following structures <br />should not be demolished: <br />830 S. Rush Street - St. Joseph County Commissioners <br />1318 Hillcrest Road - Catherine K. Pletcher, Exec. Est. Clifford <br />A. Pletcher <br />1137 S.!..tafaygtte - Irving H. Rosenbaum, et al <br />2712 S. Main St. - Johnnie B. Hammon or Johnnie Mihocza <br />2501 W. Linden Ave. - Ellie J. and Bernice Harris <br />1002 Culver Place - John T. Siewert <br />1934 N. Meade St. - Mary Hastings Dunfee, Exec. Est. Vernon C. <br />Hastings <br />And the Clerk is directed to so notify said persons by certified mail. <br />HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3331 - DEPARTMENT OF R <br />I <br />DEVELOPMENT <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on Vacation Resolution No. 3331, <br />being for the vacation of: <br />Portions of streets and alleys, all within the recorded plat of <br />Raff's First Addition, Raff's-Second Addition and Lewis' First <br />Addition, Subdivisions in the northeast Quarter of Section 14, <br />Township 37 north, Range 2 east, as follows: <br />(1) Leon Court, an east -west street from the east line of Kemble <br />Avenue, to the west line of Kendall Street (38,o96 sq. ft.); <br />(2) Catalpa Avenue, a north -south street, from the south line of <br />Cotter Street to the north line of Leon Court (9,960 sq. ft.); <br />(3) Catalpa Avenue, a north -south street, from the south line <br />of Leon Court south 225 feet (9,000 sq. ft.); <br />(4) Chapin Street, a north -south street, from the south line of <br />Cotter Street to the north line of Leon Court (9,960 sq. ft.); <br />(5) Chapin Street, a north -south street, from the south line of <br />Leon Court south 225 feet (9,000 sq. ft.); <br />(6) The north -south alley between Prairie Avenue and Catalpa <br />Avenue, from the south line of Cotter Street to the north line <br />of Leon Court (3,486 sq. ft.); <br />1 <br />1 <br />
