10/26/70 The following residents in the neighborhood of 1021 E. Eckman Street appeared before the Board and objected to the move: Mr. and Mrs. Norman J. Konzen - 1017 E. Eckman Mrs. Raymond M. /Grummell - 1024 E. Eckman Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Slaboda - 1011 E. Eckman Mr. and Mrs. Rubin Gould - 1014 E. Eckman giving as their reasons that the houses in this area are all of brick con- struction, of a value of not less than $25,000.00, and that the house proposed to be moved is of frame construction, two stories high, valued on the tax records at $3950.00; that it would not blend into the neighbor- hood; and that it would depreciate the values of the existing properties. Upon hearing all who wished to speak, the motion was made, seconded and carried to continue the matter one week, to permit the Board members to view the site. REQUEST TO BLOCK ALLEYS ABUTTING GOSPEL CENTER CHURCH Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Thomas P. Murphy, Pastor of the Gospel Center Church at 930 30th Street, South -Bend, Indiana, for permission to block two alleys abutting the Church between the hours of 6:30 P.M. and 8:30 P.M., during the week commencing October°26, 1970, was referred to the Traffic Director for investigation and to work out with the Church whatever arrangement seems feasible. HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3326 - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT This being the date set, heari-ng, was held on the assessment roll in Vacation Resolution No. 3326, for the vacation of: Portions of alleys all within the recorded Third Plat of Summit Place Addition, a Subdivision in -the northwest Quarter and the southwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 37 north, Range 2 east, as follows: (1) The east -west alley between Napier Street and Jefferson Street between the east line of Kaley Street and the west line of the first alley east of Kaley Street. (2), The east -west alley between Napier Street and Jefferson Street between the east line of the first north -south alley east of Kaley Street and the west line of the second north - south alley east of Kaley Street. (3) The east -west alley between Napier Street and Jefferson Street between the east line of the second north -south alley east of Kaley Street and the west line of Meade Street. (4) The east -west alley between Jefferson Street and Newcome Street between the east line of Kaley Street and the west line of Meade Street. (5) The f'rst north -south alley east of Kaley Street between the north line of Jefferson Street and the south line of the east -west alley between Jefferson Street and Newcome Street. (7) The first -north -south alley east of Kaley Street between the north line of the east -west alley between Jefferson Street and Newcome Street and the south line of Newcome Street. (1;0) The first north -south alley east of Kaley Street between the north line of the east -west alley between Newcome Street and Washington Street and the south line of Washington Street. (11) The east -west alley between Newcome Street and Washington Street between the east line of the second north -south alley east of Kaley Street and the west line of Meade Street.
