202 <br />10/5/70 <br />505 Kalorama Street. Charles Hass, one of the owners of this property, appeared <br />before the Board and stated they have a buyer for the property as soon as they <br />can get it ready for sale. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />the matter was continued two weeks. <br />621 S. Rush Street. J. Chester Allen, as administrator of the estate of Joseph-- <br />Clyde Brown, did not appear as requested. Mr. Adamson stated this building is <br />in bad condition and has been vandalized. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director was authorized,to seek bids <br />for the demolition of the property. <br />1606 Prairie Avenue. Max I. Seltenright appeared before the Board as requested <br />and stated the only reason the building has not been torn down is that they <br />are trying to relocate the tenant. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously <br />carried, the matter was continued eight weeks to allow time for relocating <br />the tenant. ' <br />142 E. Elder Street. Grant Lewis appeared before the Board as requested and <br />stated he is willing for the City to tear down the structure. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was continued two weeks for <br />notice to be.given to J. W. Howard. <br />606 W. LaSalle Street. Aaron Jones, 140 E.'Paris Street, and George Jones, 710 <br />S. Fellows Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board and stated <br />they are buying the property on a land contract from the estate of Richard <br />Muessel, through the National Bank and Trustee Company, and that they intend <br />to tear down the building and make a parking lot for the church and if agree- <br />able with the Bank it is agreeable with them for the City to demolish the building. <br />Mr. Adamson stated he has contacted the Bank and they are agreeable to the <br />roperty being demolished. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the <br />!premises at 606 W. LaSalle Street. <br />1527 S. Catalpa Street. Mr. Adamson reported Joseph and Helen Toth have ad- <br />vised by letter they are agreeable to the City tearing down this building. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director <br />was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the structure at 1527 S. <br />Catalpa Street. <br />722 E. Miner Street. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the <br />matter of 722 E. Miner Street was continued two weeks to permit the Sub - <br />Standards Director to contact the various owners of this property. <br />1105 S. Carroll Street. Mr. Adamson reported the owners of this property have <br />indicated they do not intend to do anything to rehabilitate it. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director was <br />authorized to seek bids for demolition of the structure at 1105 S. Carroll <br />Street. <br />1210 South Bend Avenue. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />the matter of 1210 South Bend Avenue was continued two weeks for the Sub -standards <br />Director to contact the new owner. <br />2116 Western Avenue. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the <br />matter pertaining to 2116 Western Avenue was continued two weeks at the request <br />of the Sub -Standards Director. <br />2410-241212 W. Ford Street. (on the complaint of A. C. Dillon and others) <br />Upon motion made seconded and unanimously carried, this matter was continued <br />two weeks for the Sub -Standards Director to further continue efforts to locate <br />the owner. <br />626 N. Harrison Street. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the <br />matter of 626 Harrison Street was continued two weeks for the Sub -Standards <br />director to make further investigation in reference to demolition of the <br />property by the owner. <br />Demolition bids opened; <br />This being the date set, bids were opened for demolition of the following <br />structures.
