9/28/70 Request for Owners of Sub -Standard Properties to Appear Before the Board on 10/19/70:. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of the Pi -rector of Sub -Standard Buildings, J. W. Adamson, for the fol- lowing persons to appear before the Board of Public Works and Safety on October 19, 1970 to show cause, if any, why demolition should not take place at the following addresses: 1041 LaSalle Court Arthur Wolff and Edith Wolff 235 N. Studebaker St, Clell F. and Tansey L. Ewing 121 East Paris Street Nelson Jennings Sims 2712 S. Main Street Johnnie B. Hammons/Mrs. Johnnie Mihocza 2808 East Pleasant St. Billy 0. Mummey ROBERT CLEO HENDERSON - RENEWAL OF CAB DRIVER'S LICENSE Due to Mr. Henderson's failure to appear before the Board, a motion was made, seconded and carried to confirm the XjXY/XX0)0XX0%XmXAX original de- n•ial of the renewal of this license. PETITION TO PAVE ALLEY BETWEEN HUEY AND O'BRIEN, 1300 BLOCK A petition to pave the alley between Huey Street and O'Brien Street in the 1300 Block was brought before the Board by Richard Jelinski and 7 others. It was filed with the Board and referred to the Engineering �''`�---•-->Department for further consideration. IMPROVEMENT -RESOLUTION # 3325, 1970 - N.-S. ALLEY BETWEEN HUEY & O'BRIEN In connection with the above petition filed, a motion was made, second- ed and carried to rescind Improvement Resolution # 3325, 70. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, it was decided that a new Reso- lution concerning the paving of this alley would be drawn up. VACATION RESOLUTION_ #_3328 - CONTINUED FROM 9/21/70 - DR. ARMAND RIGAUX Upon motion made, seconded and carried, it was decided that the matter of this Vacation Resolution would be continued -one additional week to allow Mr. Taylor's office to discuss this matter with Dr. Armand Rigaux. HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION # 3329 - MID14EST TURNKEY BUILDERS, INC. The hearing on Vacation Resolution # 3329 - Midwest Turnkey Builders, Inc., upon a motion made, seconded and carried, was continued for one week, at the request of Attorney Robert L. Miller. Communication From Marion L. Eskridge A communication was filed with the Board from Marion L. Eskridge regard- ing the sale of Lot # 13, in connection with Vacation Resolution # 3329. HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION # 3317 - MILL RACE INC. was held This being the date set, "8 hearing/on Assessment Roll of Vacation Res- olution # 3317, being for the vacation of: An easement described as follows: that part of the -west Leg of the East Race which is located northerly of a line paral- lel to and 30 feet southerly of the southerly line of Hydraul- ic Avenue and located westerly of the west line of the East Race, which said west Leg of�the East Race is the race located on the southeasterly and east sides of Hydraulic Avenue in Section 1 and Section 12, Township 37 North, Range 2 east, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. The clerk tendered proofs of publication in t-he -South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News on September 4,11 and 18, 1970, which were read and found to be proper and sufficient.
