9/14/70 <br />3509 Pleasant Street. Neither Frank nor Dorothy Buck appeared as requested. <br />Mr. Adamson reported nothing has been done to rehabilitate this property. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director <br />was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the premises at 3509 Pleasant <br />Street. <br />626 Harrison Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter of 626 <br />Harrison Street was continued two weeks to permit the owner to complete the, <br />demolition of the premises. <br />717 E. Broadway. Cecil Clarkson, realtor, 333 Lincolnway West, South Bend, <br />Indiana, appeared on behalf of the owners of this property, Nan Kercheval <br />and the estate of Pearl Kercheval, and stated the owners intend to rehabilitate <br />the property. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter <br />was continued two weeks to permit the owners to close up the building. <br />Demolition bids .opened: <br />'This being.the date set, bids for demolition of the following premises were <br />opened. Non collusion affidavits were examined and found to be proper. The <br />bids were as follows: <br />2121 Kenwood• <br />Harvey R. Bryant $485.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $519.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking'Co. $529.00 <br />B & J Demolition Co. $500.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition of <br />the structure at 2121 Kenwood was awarded to Harvey R. Bryant on his low bid of <br />:4485.00. <br />922 E. Al t_ el d : <br />Harvey R. Bryant $370.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $570.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $274.00 <br />B & J Demolition Co. $350.00 <br />Upon motion made seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition of <br />the structure at 922 E. Altgeld was awarded to Midwest Demolition Company on <br />its low bid of $274.00: <br />613 S. Columbia: <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $564.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $729.00 <br />Harvey R. Bryant $795.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 613 S. Columbia Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition <br />Company on.its low bid of $564.00. <br />740 N. Frances Street: <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $41g.00 <br />B & J Demolition Co. $400,00 <br />Harvey R. Bryant $614.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $498.00 <br />Paul Goldberg, one'of the owners of the property -at 740 N. Frances Street, <br />appeared before the Board and stated they have no money with which to repair <br />or tear down•the structure; and stated they have stored some kitchen cabinets <br />and siding in the building which they would like to remove. <br />The motion was made to tentatively award contract for demolition of the <br />structure at 740 N. Frances Street to B & J Demolition Company on its low bid <br />
