_70- <br />9/8/70 <br />613 S. Columbia Street. Sophia Drazsnyak did not appear as requested. The Sub - <br />Standards Director stated this property is in the estate of Joseph Drazsnyak, <br />deceased husband of Sophia Drazsnyak who is 84 years old, that the attorney <br />reports the estate insolvent and that they would be willing to give the property <br />to the City. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub - <br />Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the structure <br />at 613 S. Columbia Street. <br />1137 S. Franklin Street. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for the removal of <br />what is left of the structure at 1137 S. Franklin Street. <br />740 N. Frances Street. No one appeared before the Board as requested by <br />certified notice August 25, 1970. The Sub -Standards Director reported this <br />house has changed hands frequently, has been closed at times and is open at <br />times; that nothing has been done to repair it. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek <br />bids for demolition of the structure at 740 N. Frances Street. <br />2116 Western Avenue. Attorney George S. Stratigos appeared before the Board <br />on behalf of Steven Tsalikis, present owner of this property and son of the <br />former owner, now deceased. Mr. Stratigos stated there are debts, mortgages <br />and judgments against the property and asked a continuance so that interested <br />parties might be notified of the pending demolition of the structure. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter relative to the <br />structure at 2116 Western Avenue was further continued to September 21, 1970. <br />625 S. Columbia Street. At the request of the Sub -Standards Director, the matter <br />of 25 S. Columbia Street was continued to October 19, 1970. <br />1123 E. Donald Street. At the request of the Sub -Standards Director, the matter <br />of 1123 E. Donald Street was continued indefinitely. <br />Request for owners of sub -standard properties to appear before the Board 9/21/70 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the re- <br />quest of the Sub -Standards Director for the following persons to appear before <br />the Board on September 21, 1970, to show cause, if any they have, why the <br />structures at the following addresses should not be demolished; <br />1505 Miami Street - Gordon L. and Ada M. Roseberry <br />1210 South Bend Ave. - Lloyd and Mabel R. Rough <br />925 W. Washington St. - Theresa Grear, Trustee., Mary Kowalik Trust <br />1629 S. Franklin St. - Nicholas P. Cholis, Executor, Estate Gust <br />and Rose Coleros <br />1022 S. 35th St. - Patrick Myers <br />and the Clerk was directed to so notify said persons by certified mail. <br />2410-2412 W. Ford Street (Complaint of A. C. Dillon and 18 others). A complaint <br />concerning the condition of the property at 2410 - 2412 W. Ford Street, signed <br />by A. C. Dillon, 2414 Ford Street, and 18 others, upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, was referred to the Sub -Standards Department for <br />investigation and report to the Board. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3283 - FELLOWS STREET <br />SEWER <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll in Improvement <br />Resolution No. 3283, being for the improvement of Fellows Street, from.Barbie <br />Street to Ireland Road and Walters Street from Fellows Street to approximately <br />345 feet west of Fellows Street by constructing a local sewer. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in South Bend Tribune and <br />the Tri County News on August 21 and August 28, 1970, which were read and <br />found to be sufficient. - <br />After hearing all who wished to speak, the following action was taken; <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that the Walters Street sewer be extended <br />westerly approximately 25 feet to cover the third lot as replatted by Mr. <br />and Mrs. Joseph Dosmann. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
