<br />of easement submitted at this meeting, incorporated
<br />herein by reference and ordered filed with the minutes
<br />of this meeting, which easement has been heretofore/

<br />William S. Moore at the fair cash market value of

<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board adopted said assessment
<br />roll and set 9:30 A.M. on September 28, 1970, as the date for hearing all
<br />persons interested in or affected by said vacation. And the Clerk is directed
<br />to give notice of such hearing by publication in the. South Bend Tribune and
<br />the Tri County News on September 4, September 11 and September 18, 1970.
<br />NOTICE TO PROCEED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION N0. 3318 - E. WASHINGTON AVENUE
<br />Contract for the improvement of East Washington Avenue, from Greenlawn
<br />Avenue to Ironwood Drive by constructing a Class C, Type IFV pavement with
<br />curbs, having been awarded on August 24, 1970, the Board hereby directs
<br />the Rieth Riley Construction Company, Inc., to proceed with such improvement.
<br />REQUEST FOR NO SLURRY SEAL ON LOMBARDY STREET
<br />Mrs. Richard Grontkowski, 926 Lombardy Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared
<br />before the Board to protest the slurry sealing of Lombardy Street, stating
<br />that the street in her area does not need repair and that she and 25 others
<br />do not want it. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was re-
<br />ferred to the City Engineer.
<br />IRONWOOD DRIVE - (CITY OF MISHAWAKA AND CITY OF SOUTH BEND)
<br />It was moved, seconded and carried that the City of South Bend reimburse
<br />the City of Mishawaka for the construction of the west side of Ironwood Drive,
<br />from Lincolnway East to River Avenue, at an estimated cost to the City of
<br />South Bend of $6,670.00.
<br />REQUEST OF J. E. WALZ, INC. TO ERECT TENT
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of J. E. Walz, Inc.,
<br />3423-31 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, to erect a tent for its
<br />annual tent sale at 3423 S. Michigan Street from September 8 to October 20,
<br />1970, was approved subject to the approval of the Buil'ding Department and
<br />the Fire Department.
<br />REQUEST TO HOLD BONFIRE AND PARADE - ST. JOSEPH HIGH SCHOOL
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Brother Charles
<br />Gregg, C.S.C., on behalf of St. Joseph's High School, 1441 Michigan Street,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, for permission to hold a bonfire west of the high school
<br />on Angela Boulevard at 8:30 PM., on October 16, 1970, and to hold a parade
