8/24/70 <br />623 N. Birdsell (Complaint of Mrs. Louise Rozek and others). Mr. Adamson, <br />Sub -Standards Director, reported the land contract buyer of this property, <br />has done nothing to repair the structure although he had made promises to <br />do so; and further stated that he has received a letter from the owner ' ' <br />stating they are willing to give the property to the City to do with as they <br />see fit. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Sub•Standards Director <br />was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the structure at 623 N. <br />Birdsell Street. <br />740 N. Frances Street. Mr. Adamson reported this property is secured part <br />of the time and at other times is open; that it is presently for sale again. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued until <br />September 8, 1970, and the Clerk was directed to notify the owner by <br />certified mail to appear before the Board on that date. <br />625 S. Columbia Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried,`at the re- <br />quest of the Sub -Standards Director, this matter was continued until <br />September 8, 1970. <br />2116 Western Avenue. Mr. Adamson reported this building open at times and <br />secured at other times, and'that it is now open. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids -for <br />demolition of'the structure at 2116 Western Avenue. <br />1613 S. Leer Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried; this matter was <br />continued four weeks. <br />1123 E. Donald Street, Mr.'Adamson reported nothing has been done to re- <br />habilitate the property. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter <br />was continued until September 8, 1970, and the Sub -Standards Director was re- <br />quested to'contact Mr. Clem Winkowski, representative of the owner, in <br />reference to the property. <br />1007 N. Notre Dame Avenue. Mr. Adamson reported the structure at 1007 N. <br />Notre Dame Avenue has been demolished by the owner. <br />625 N. Eddy Street. Mr. Adamson reported this property has been boarded up. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter of the property at 625 <br />N. Eddy Street was continued indefinitely and the Sub -Standards Director <br />was requested to keep the property under surveillance. <br />3707 Belle Vista. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter of 3707 <br />Belle Vista was continued indefinitely. <br />Demolition bids opened: <br />This being the date set, bids were opened for demolition of the following <br />structures. Non collusion affidavits were examined and found to be proper. <br />The bids were as follows: <br />1217 South Bend Avenue: <br />B & J Demolition Company $660.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $374.00 <br />Julius O'Neal $529.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract for demolition of the structure at <br />1217 South Bend Avenue was awarded to Midwest Demolition Company on its low <br />bid of $374.00. <br />614 S. Columbia Street: <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $729.00 <br />B & J Demolition Co. $835.00 <br />Julius O'Neal 7 $749.00 <br />Upon motion made,' seconded and carried, contract for demolition of the structure <br />at 614 S. Columbia Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition Company on its low <br />bid of $729.00. <br />Request for sub -standard property owners to appear before Board 9/8/70 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of the <br />
