8/24/70 <br />Sub -Standards Director for owners of substandard properties to appear before <br />the Board on September 8, 1970, to show cause why the following properties <br />should not be demolished: <br />626 E. Stanfield <br />5212 S. Walnut Street James A. Cole <br />613 S. Columbia Street Sophia Drazsnyak <br />and the Clerk was directed to so notify said persons by certified mail. <br />BU1U11'1W COMMISSIONER'S REPORT - COMPLAINT RE PROPERTY AT GREENLAWN AND <br />SUNNYMEDE <br />The Building Commissioner reports his investigation concerning the <br />building moved from another location to the corner of greenlawn and <br />Sunnymede discloses the building rests on a new foundation, water and <br />sewer have been extended, that it is secured and that the yard is being <br />graded apparently in anticipation of occupancy. <br />`JO <br />LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS - MRS. LLOYD GIBBS <br />A� <br />� <br />Mrs. Lloyd Gibbs, 53402 Crestview Drive, South `Bend, Indiana, who appeared <br />before the Board on behalf of the League of Women Voters of South Bend was <br />advised by the Board that no permission is required of the Board to conduct <br />a public registration drive so long as tables are not put up on a public <br />sidewalk. <br />AGREEMENT APPROVED FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES - GILMER PARK TRUNK SEWER <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved and signed an <br />agreement (Form 97A of the State Board of Accounts) with Charles W. Cole <br />and Son, Engineers, 3600 E. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, for <br />professional engineering services in the construction of a trunk sewer in the <br />Gilmer Park area of the city of South Bend extending from Ireland Road and the <br />Pennsylvania Railroad to Fellows Street and Johnson Road, at a basic service <br />fee of 72%o of the project construction cost. <br />DEDICATION FILED BY SOUTH BEND RANGE CORPORATION - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3270 <br />In,the matter of Vacation Resolution No. 3270, 1968, for the vacation of the <br />second east -west alley south of Washington Avenue and west of Cherry Street <br />and the north -south intersection alley from its point of intersection with <br />said second east -west alley to a point 22 feet north of the south line of Lot <br />12 in Harlin's Subdivision of Bank Out Lot 82, Bruce H. Stewart, attorney <br />for South Bend Range Corporation, files with the Board a certificate of com- <br />pliance with the conditions established for the vacation of said alleys and <br />files with the Board a dedication of a 14 foot strip of land. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, said dedication is referred to the Engineering <br />Department for review and recommendation. <br />AREA PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION - PETITION OF DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />FOR VACATION OF ALLEYS IN LASALLE PARK AREA <br />Area Plan Commission files with the Board its favorable recommendation for <br />the vacation of 1-9 alleys, all within the recorded 3rd plat of Summit Place <br />Addition, a Subdivision in the northwest Quarter and the southwest Quarter of <br />Section 10, Township 37 north, Range 2 east, said 19 alleys being more par- <br />ticularly set out at pages 41 and 42. And the City Engineer is directed to <br />prepare a vacation resolution. <br />AREA PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION - PETITION OF ASSOCIATES DISCOUNT <br />CORPORATION TO VACATE 29 FEET OF A PUBLIC COURT IN E. LOUIS_KUHN'S SUBDIVISIO <br />Area Plan Commission files its favorable recommendation for the vacation of: <br />29 feet of a public court as platted in E. Louis Kuhn's <br />Subdivision of the west half of Large Lot.No. 20 in Samuel <br />L. Cottrell's First Addition to the town of Lowell, now a <br />part of the city of South Bend. <br />And the City Engineer is directed to prepare a vacation resolution. <br />
