8/24/70 Sub -Standards Director for owners of substandard properties to appear before the Board on September 8, 1970, to show cause why the following properties should not be demolished: 626 E. BU1U11'1W COMMISSIONER'S REPORT - COMPLAINT RE PROPERTY AT GREENLAWN AND SUNNYMEDE The Building Commissioner reports his investigation concerning the building moved from another location to the corner of greenlawn and Sunnymede discloses the building rests on a new foundation, water and sewer have been extended, that it is secured and that the yard is being graded apparently in anticipation of occupancy. `JO LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS - MRS. LLOYD GIBBS A� � Mrs. Lloyd Gibbs, 53402 Crestview Drive, South `Bend, Indiana, who appeared before the Board on behalf of the League of Women Voters of South Bend was advised by the Board that no permission is required of the Board to conduct a public registration drive so long as tables are not put up on a public sidewalk. AGREEMENT APPROVED FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES - GILMER PARK TRUNK SEWER Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved and signed an agreement (Form 97A of the State Board of Accounts) with Charles W. Cole and Son, Engineers, 3600 E. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, for professional engineering services in the construction of a trunk sewer in the Gilmer Park area of the city of South Bend extending from Ireland Road and the Pennsylvania Railroad to Fellows Street and Johnson Road, at a basic service fee of 72%o of the project construction cost. DEDICATION FILED BY SOUTH BEND RANGE CORPORATION - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3270 In,the matter of Vacation Resolution No. 3270, 1968, for the vacation of the second east -west alley south of Washington Avenue and west of Cherry Street and the north -south intersection alley from its point of intersection with said second east -west alley to a point 22 feet north of the south line of Lot 12 in Harlin's Subdivision of Bank Out Lot 82, Bruce H. Stewart, attorney for South Bend Range Corporation, files with the Board a certificate of com- pliance with the conditions established for the vacation of said alleys and files with the Board a dedication of a 14 foot strip of land. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, said dedication is referred to the Engineering Department for review and recommendation. AREA PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION - PETITION OF DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT FOR VACATION OF ALLEYS IN LASALLE PARK AREA Area Plan Commission files with the Board its favorable recommendation for the vacation of 1-9 alleys, all within the recorded 3rd plat of Summit Place Addition, a Subdivision in the northwest Quarter and the southwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 37 north, Range 2 east, said 19 alleys being more par- ticularly set out at pages 41 and 42. And the City Engineer is directed to prepare a vacation resolution. AREA PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION - PETITION OF ASSOCIATES DISCOUNT CORPORATION TO VACATE 29 FEET OF A PUBLIC COURT IN E. LOUIS_KUHN'S SUBDIVISIO Area Plan Commission files its favorable recommendation for the vacation of: 29 feet of a public court as platted in E. Louis Kuhn's Subdivision of the west half of Large Lot.No. 20 in Samuel L. Cottrell's First Addition to the town of Lowell, now a part of the city of South Bend. And the City Engineer is directed to prepare a vacation resolution.
