Bickel <br />ATTEST: <br />Doris Allen, Clerk." <br />AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3318 - <br />HINGTON AVENUE, GREENLAWN TO IRONWOOD <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, plans and specifications for the <br />improvement of East Washington Avenue, from Greenlawn to Ironwood, by <br />constructing a Class C pavement with curbs and curb repair were approved and <br />adopted by the Board, and ordered placed on file in the office of the Board <br />of Public Works and Safety. <br />August 17, 1970, at 9:30 A.M., was set as the time for receiving bids for <br />such improvement, and the Clerk was directed to give notice by publication <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on August 7, 1970 and <br />August 14, 1970. <br />PETITION FILED TO PAVE NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY BE'iWEEN HUEY AND O'BRIEN STREETS - <br />M. P. SMITH, AND OTHERS <br />A petition, signed by M. P. Smith, 1226 N. Huey Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />and 24 others, to pave the north -south alley between Huey and o'Brien <br />Streets, from Humbolt north to the T alley, was filed and, upon. -Motion <br />made, seconded and carried, was referred to the City Engineer for study and <br />recommendation. <br />PETITION TO REPLACE SIDEWALK - OLIVE STREET, BETWEEN WESTERN AND FORD <br />A petition to replace the sidewalk on Olive Street, between Western and Ford <br />Streets, signed by Rev. John J. Moskal for St. Adalbert Church, 2420 Huron <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, and 23 residents on S. Olive Street, in which <br />petition the said signers agree to pay 2 % of the cost of such sidewalk re- <br />placement, was filed with the Board and, upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />was referred to the City Engineer for study and recommendation. <br />COMPLAINT AGAINST STREET DEPARTMENT - MRS. LEE SWAN AND OTHERS <br />Mrs. Lee Swan, 2022 S. Swygart Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before <br />the Board and filed a written complaint signed by 14 residents of the 1900 <br />and 2000 blocks of S. Swygart Street in reference to the grading of an alley <br />in the 1900 and 2000 blocks of S. Swygart Street by the Street Department. <br />complaining that the hard surface had been graded away and nothing further done, <br />leaving the alley in a worse condition than before being graded. The matter <br />was referred to the Street Commissioner for investigation and report. <br />
