HELEN PATTY AND OTHERS RE: 821 S. 23RD STREET <br />upon motion made, seconded and carried, the complaint of Mrs. Helen Patty, <br />829 S. 23rd Street, South Bend, Indiana, and 23 others concerning the con- <br />dition created by nine dogs at 821 S. 23rd Street was referred to the Legal <br />Department for appropriate action. <br />REQUEST FOR TAXICAB STANDS AT MAIN AND WASHINGTON STREETS - INDIANA CAB COMPANY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Bert Liss for the <br />Indiana Cab Company, 710 N. Niles Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, to relocate <br />taxicab stands at Main Street and Washington Avenue was referred to the <br />Traffic Director for study and recommendation to the Board. <br />REQUEST TO PLACE MOBILE HOME - NORTHERN INDIANA CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Donald M. Hippensteel, <br />Superintendent of Northern Indiana Children's Hospital, T234'N. Notre Dame <br />Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, for permission to place a mobile home in the court <br />yard of the Northern Indiana Children's Hospital, for the purpose of a, -training <br />program for children for a period of two to three years, was granted. <br />REQUEST TO SELL FOR-GET-ME-NOTS - DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, permission was. granted by the Board to <br />the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter #6, 117 William.Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, to sell forgetmenots in the down town area September 4 and 5, 1970. <br />REQUEST TO CLOSE N. ADAMS STREET FOR BLOCK PARTY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, permission was granted to Mrs. George <br />Filchak, 1736 N. Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana, and nine other residents <br />to close the 1700 block of N. Adams Street August 7, 1970, during a block party <br />from 6:00 P.M. until midnight, with no music and no dancing. <br />REQUEST TO PAINT HOUSE NUMBERS ON CURBING <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Miss Dianne Kovas, <br />1337 Wall Street, South Bend, Indiana, Scott A. Poelvoorde and George Harris <br />for permission to paint house numbers on curbing,in the residential area of <br />the City was granted, subject to such permission being withdrawn upon objections <br />made by such residents. <br />CONTRACTORS' BONDS CANCELLED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Western Surety Company <br />for termination of contractor's bond #4272178 for Kay Construction Company <br />was approved for all work done on or after August 3, 1970. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, cancellation of contractor's bond #347154 <br />of the Trinity Universal Insurance Company for Billy H. Lancaster and Leon H. <br />Martin, d/b/a Lancaster -Martin was approved for all work doen on or after <br />the 9th day of August, 1970. <br />CONTRACTORS' BONDS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following contractors' bonds were <br />approved: <br />Walter N. Reinke and Sons, Inc. to 8/4/71 was approved. <br />EXCAVATION BOND APPROVED <br />1 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, excavation bond of Herman F. Glaser <br />Construction Company to 7/27/71 was approved. <br />
