Frances Street Marshall Bowen <br />And the Clerk was directed to so notify said persons by certified mail. <br />HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3315 - BETTY McCLURE <br />Hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 3315, being for the vacation of: <br />the first alley east of Portage Avenue from the north <br />line of McCartney Street to the south line of the first <br />east -west alley north of McCartney Street. <br />having been continued from June 1, 1970, was resumed. Petitioner Betty <br />McClure and attorney H. Theodore Noel] attended the meeting. <br />Mr. No6ll submitted a letter from the Marathon Oil Company agreeing to <br />dedicate a five foot strip of land and Mrs. McClure stated her willingness <br />to dedicate a 20 foot strip of land in connection with the vacation. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was continued <br />one week and Mr. Noel] was requested to notify the property owners directly <br />affected, of the continuance. <br />CONTRACTS AWARDED FOR GASOLINE AND FUEL OIL <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contracts for gasoline <br />and fuel oil for the period 7/l/70 through 12/31/70 were awarded, upon the <br />recommendation of the Purchasing Director, as follows: <br />Atlantic Richfield Company <br />Gasoline: tank wagon delivery @ .1320�; bulk transport @ .1197t. <br />American Oil Co. (Standard Oil) <br />Fuel Oil #l: tank wagon delivery @ .1190�; bulk delivery @ .1175�. <br />Fuel Oil #2: tank wagon delivery @ .1190�; bulk delivery @ .1095�. <br />RECOMMENDATION - POTAWATOMI PARK BARN <br />The Board of Park Commissioners recommends that the bid of the Muia Con- <br />struction Company for the construction of a display barn for the Potawatomi <br />Zoo be considered as follows: <br />Total bid--------------------------------- $45,541.00 <br />Less Alternate #5 $2,906.00 <br />Less Alternate #6 1,535.00 <br />Reduce electrical 1,558.00 5,999.00 <br />$39.542.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was continued <br />two weeks for further study by the Board. <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS APPROVED <br />SEWER EXTENSION - CLEVELAND ROAD TO LILAC ROAD <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />plans and specifications filed by Kent S. Kaser, consulting engineer for the <br />construction of approximately 700 linear feet of 21 inch vitrified clay <br />sewer, Cleveland Road to Lilac Road. <br />July 6, 1970, is set as the time for receiving bids for said construction, and <br />the Clerk is directed to give notice by publication in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri County News on June 19 and June 26, 1970. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
