1104 <br />6/15/70 <br />"GENITO- Persistent albuminuria or pyuria is cause for <br />urinary rejection. <br />EXTREMITIES - - No deformity which interferes with normalfunction. <br />No vericose veins. <br />MENTAL - - - - No mental deficiency, abnormal nervous manifestation <br />or abnormal reflexes. - <br />SKIN - - - - - - No -severe or disfiguring skin disease. <br />X-RAYS - - - Chest must be normal. <br />SEROLOGY- - - - Must be negative." <br />APPLICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT TO POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />The following applications for appointment to the South Bend Police Depart- <br />ment were filed with the Board and referred to the Personnel Director for <br />further processing: <br />James Alan Walsh Michael Clyde Waite <br />Vernon Wayne Doyle Donald Verle Daily <br />Dennis Gene Jacobsen Frank L. Breden <br />APPLICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT AS SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, upon the recommendation <br />of Chief of Police Loren M. Bussert, the appointment of the following <br />applicants as special police officers was approved by the Board: <br />Nathan E. Jones - employed by Consolidated Negro Contractors , <br />Stanley Lee Plump - employed by Consolidated Negro Contractors <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT - STATISTICAL REPORT <br />Statistical report of the Police Department for May, 1970, was ordered filed. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />J. W. Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, appeared before the Board and the <br />following matters were taken up. <br />736 Frances Street. Wallace Mitchell, Jr., son of the deceased owner of the property, <br />appeared before the Board and stated that he has secured the house and cleaned <br />up the premises, and that he will arrange with Mr. Adamson for him to inspect <br />the interior. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter <br />was continued indefinitely and the Sub -Standards Director was requested to keep <br />the property under surveillance. <br />1137 S. Franklin Street. Mr. Nietch appeared before the Board and stated the <br />property is owned by his mother who is incapacitated, and that it is his <br />intention to tear the house down. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously <br />carried, the matter was continued four weeks for the owner to demolish the <br />structure, with the understanding that it will be taken down within that time. <br />2227 Smith Street. Mr. Adamson reported this property in extremely bad condition. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the <br />Sub -Standards Director to seek bids for demolition of the structure at <br />2227 Smith Street. <br />1223 S. Carroll Street. Mr. Adamson reported this structure removed by the <br />owner. <br />1325 Liston Street. Mr. Adamson reported this building has been posted as <br />unfit for human habitation; that it is open and badly.deteriorated. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued one week to permit <br />the Sub -Standards Department time to contact the owners. <br />
