<br />Area Plan Commission recommends to the Board of Public Works and Safety
<br />its recommendation for the abandonment of a 30 foot easement on Hydraulic
<br />Avenue.

<br />JU" Race, which said west leg of the east Race is the Race
<br />located on the southeasterly and east sides of
<br />Hydraulic Avenue in Section 1 and in Section 12,
<br />Township 37 north, Range 2 east in the city of South
<br />Bend, Indiana.
<br />Reserving the rights and easements of all utilities and the
<br />municipal city of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain
<br />any facilities, including, but not limited to, the following: electric,
<br />telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches,
<br />within the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the
<br />individual utilities.
<br />The following properties may be injuriously or beneficially
<br />affected by such vacation:
<br />Lots numbered 12 through 29 and unplatted area adjacent to
<br />Lot 12, all in Miller and Green's 2nd Addition.
<br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 29th day of
<br />May, 1970, and on the 5th day of June, 1970, in the South Bend
<br />Tribune and the Tri County News.
<br />This Board, at its office, on the 8th day of June, 1970, at
<br />9:30 o'clock, A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all
<br />persons interested in or affected -by these proceedings.

<br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR GASOLINE AND FUEL OIL
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the
<br />request of the Purchasing Director to advertise for bids for gasoline and
<br />fuel oil for the period from July 1, 1970 through December 31, 1970. June 8,
<br />1970, was set as the time for receiving bids and the Clerk was directed to
<br />give notice by publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News
<br />on May 29 and June 5, 1970.
<br />REQUEST FOR FIRE HYDRANTS - N.E. CORNER CLEVELAND AND LILAC ROADS
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of
<br />John L. Hunter, Superintendent of Utilities, for the installation of two
<br />fire hydrants at the northeast corner of Cleveland and Lilac Roads, said
<br />installation having been approved by the Water Works Board at its meeting
<br />on May 18, 1970, and said installations to be at the expense of the Water Works.
<br />Mr. Crumpacker abstained from voting.
