Miami Street. Forrest West, Building Commissioner, appeared before <br />the Board in reference to the property at 1529 S. Miami Street, known as <br />the Redman Shell Service Station, in response to a request by the Board for <br />an investigation as to zoning, and reported that the zoning ordinance is <br />being violated and that the Building Department will issue a "cease and desist" <br />order. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3293, 1969 - MENTAL <br />HEALTH CENTER <br />This being the date setforhearing on the assessment roll in Vacation <br />Resolution No. 3293, 1969, for the vacation of: <br />the north -south alley between St. Louis Street and St. Peter <br />Street, from Colfax Avenue north 198 feet to the first east - <br />west alley. <br />the Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri County News on April 10, April 17 and April 24, 1970, which were <br />found to be proper. Bernard Janas, 1138 Manchester Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, representing the Mental Health Center, attended the meeting. <br />No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been <br />received, and there being no net benefits and no net damages, upon motion <br />made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assessment roll was adopted as <br />presented and the vacation resolution in all things ratified and confirmed, <br />and .the proceedings closed and the property declared vacated. <br />
