`: <br />4/27/70. <br />'1109 Duey Street: <br />Bryant Excavating Co. $535.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $275.00 <br />B�& J Demolition Co. $290.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 1109 Duey Street was awarded to O'Neal Trucking Company <br />on its bid of $275.00. <br />1132 S. Franklin Street. It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that <br />the contract for demolition of the structure at 1132 South Franklin Street, <br />awarded to A & J Demolition Company and terminated Apri1.20, 1970, for failure <br />to complete the demolition within 30 days, be re -awarded to Midwest Demolition <br />Company on its next lowest bid of $434.00. <br />1143 S. Franklin Street. It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that <br />the contract for demolition of the structure at 1143 S. Franklin Street <br />awarded to A & J Demolition Company and terminated April 20, 1970, for failure <br />rc to complete the demolition within 30 days, be re -awarded to O'Neal Trucking <br />Company on its next lowest bid of $393.00. <br />513 S. Walnut Street. It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that <br />�^ the contract for demolition of the structure at 513 S*-.Walnut Street awarded <br />to A & J Demolition Company and terminated April 20, 1970, for failure to <br />complete the demolition within 30 days, be re -awarded to Midwest Demolition <br />Company,on its next lowest bid of $364.00. <br />736 N. Frances Street. Mr. Mitchell, owner of this property, appeared before <br />the Board and stated he has secured the building. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, the matter was continued four weeks. <br />Request for owners of sub -standard properties to appear before the Board <br />.May 1 1 , 1970. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the re- <br />quest of the Sub -Standards Director for the following persons to appear before <br />the Board on May 11, 1970, to show cause, if any they have, why the following <br />properties should not be demolished: <br />1825 Benton Court George A. and Mary L. Visocky <br />2202 E. Pleasant Street Russell T. Covell and Dewey 0. Covell, Jr. <br />510 E. Wenger Street Jack M. and Charles Hurwich <br />721 W. Wayne Street Anthony F. and Colette G. Rowland <br />And the Clerk was directed to so notify said property owners by certified mail. <br />COMPLAINT - CONDITION OF 518 N. B IRDSELL .STREET <br />Mrs. Louise Rozek, 624 N. Birdsell Street, appeared before the Board and complained <br />of the condition of the premises at 518 N. Birdsell, Street, where a plumber had <br />failed to complete repairs to a sewer. The matter was to be referred to the <br />Health Department and will be investigated by the Engineering Department. <br />COMPLAINT - CONDITION OF 1624 CATALPA STREET <br />A complaint signed by 20 persons was filed with the Board by Mrs. Minnie <br />Kasprzack, 1619 S. Chapin Street concerning the condition of the premises <br />at 1624 Catalpa Street and was referred to the Sub -Standards Department for <br />investigation and report to the Board. <br />AREA PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION - PHILLIPA STREET - MIDWEST TURNKEY <br />BUILDERS, INC. <br />On the petition of Midwest Turnkey Builders, Inc., for the vacation of <br />Phillipa Street, from the north line of Indiana Avenue extending north 106 <br />feet to an unused 10 foot alley as shown on the recorded plat of South Bend <br />Industrial Addition, Area Plan Commission recommends the vacation, and the <br />petition is referred to the Engineering Department for the preparation of <br />a Vacation Resolution. <br />
