4/20/70 <br />Demolition bids opened: <br />This being the date set, bids were opened for demolition of the following <br />sub -standard properties.- Non collusion affidavits were examined and found <br />to be proper. Bids were: <br />1454 E. Donald Street: <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $233.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. 324.00 <br />B & J Demolition Co. 300.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract for demolition of the <br />structure at 1454 E. Donald Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition Company <br />on its bid of $233.00. <br />1527 Linden Avenue: <br />Midwest Demolition Co. $629.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. 585.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract for demolition of the <br />structure at 1527 Linden Avenue was awarded to O'Neal Trucking Company on its <br />bid of $585.00. <br />REMOVAL OF HOUSE - RESOLUTION NO.3300 - OPENING OF FELLOWS STREET <br />Pursuant to an agreement with the heirs of Robert William Maurice on March 30, <br />1970, for the removal_ of a house (at dead-end of Fellows Street) in connection <br />with the opening of: <br />A public street 60 feet in width running north and south <br />in the northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 37 north, <br />Range 2 east, and connecting at both ends with Fellows Street <br />as presently existing and constituting an extension thereof <br />from Walter Street to the north line of the southeast Quarter <br />of the northwest Quarter of said Section, the centerline of <br />said proposed extension to coincide with the centerline of <br />Fellows Street as presently existing at both ends. <br />bids for demolition of the structure having been obtained, were opened. Non <br />collusion affidavits were examined and found to be proper. Bids were as <br />follows: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $384.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Company 269.00 <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that contract for demolition of the house <br />at the dead end of Fellows Street be awarded to Midwest Demolition Company on <br />:itts low bid of $269.00, and that payment therefor be made from cumulative <br />capital improvement fund. <br />APPRAISALS - STORM WATER DETENTION BASINS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board accepted and approved the <br />proposal of Jack R. Harris, Davis Realty, 717 Lincolnway East, South Bend, <br />Indiana for the following appraisals: <br />Project I - 1970:. Washington and 36th Street storm water detention <br />basin (Lagoon K), <br />Project II- 1970: Ponsha and 33rd Street storm water detention basin <br />Lagoon A), <br />on an hourly basis of $10.00 per hour for actual time spent_. <br />
