437 <br />9/5/72 <br />1232 W. Jefferson George & Joseph Hazinski <br />2507 W. Linden Goldus & Louise Butler <br />2108 W. Linden Mary & Clemtine Klota <br />1904 S. Carlisle Street: Mr. Steed was instructed to notify the Super- <br />intendent of Logansport State Hospital, as required by taw, when a person <br />is housed in an institution. <br />530 South Fellows Street Mr. Walter Rice, 410 West Marion Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board with regard to this property. <br />He stated he had received a proposal from Henry Coleman, 528 Fellows Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana to purchase the property if it could be brought up <br />to standard without too much cost. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the matter was continued for thirty days to give Mr. Coleman an opportunity <br />to assess the matter. <br />1207 West Jefferson Street This matter was continued for one week. <br />513 North St. Louis Mr. Steed informed the Board that this property is <br />IrIH being demolished by the owner. <br />r-I <br />709 East Ohio Street Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed <br />was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the structure at 109 <br />U East Ohio Street <br />U , <br />1813 West Sample Street This being the date set for receiving bids for <br />the demolition of the structure at 1813 West Sample. Street, the following <br />bids, with non -collusion affidavits in proper order, were opened and read: <br />B & J Demolition $585.00 <br />Midwest Demolition 687.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking 500.00 <br />Bryant Excavating 630.00 <br />Mr. Clem Winkowski, realtor, appeared before the Board to ask for an extension <br />of time to have the building fixed. He stated that some of the work had been <br />done. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the award was made <br />to O'Neal Trucking Company on its low bid of $500.00, and the Board informed <br />Mr. Winkowski that he had been granted a sufficient length of time to have <br />the building complete rehabilitated and has not done so. <br />535 South Taylor Street This being the date set for receiving bids for the <br />demolition of the structure -at 535 South Taylor Street,the bfds, with <br />non -collusion affidavits in proper order, were opened and read: <br />B & J Demolition $1,250.00 <br />Midwest Demolition 19150.00 <br />Bryant 19000.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company 925.00 <br />Esther Frank Littow, 106 East Angela Street, South Bend, Indiana, owner <br />of the property, appeared before the Board to request an extension of <br />time to have the property repaired. She said she had contacted Mr. Steed <br />and did-Tnot understand she had to appear previously at a hearing. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were held up and Mrs. Littow <br />was given 13 days, until September 18, 1972 to have the property complete <br />repaired. <br />1812-1806-1805-1809 Randolph Street These properties not having been <br />demolished be the former contractor, and having been re -bid, the bids <br />are now opened and read. Non-collution affidavits were found to be in <br />proper order. The bids were as follows: <br />B & J Demolition $1,380.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking 1,500.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was given to B & J <br />Demolition Company on its low bid of $1,380.00 provided they are in <br />good standing with the Sub -Standards Division. <br />
