437 9/5/72 1232 W. Jefferson George & Joseph Hazinski 2507 W. Linden Goldus & Louise Butler 2108 W. Linden Mary & Clemtine Klota 1904 S. Carlisle Street: Mr. Steed was instructed to notify the Super- intendent of Logansport State Hospital, as required by taw, when a person is housed in an institution. 530 South Fellows Street Mr. Walter Rice, 410 West Marion Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board with regard to this property. He stated he had received a proposal from Henry Coleman, 528 Fellows Street, South Bend, Indiana to purchase the property if it could be brought up to standard without too much cost. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued for thirty days to give Mr. Coleman an opportunity to assess the matter. 1207 West Jefferson Street This matter was continued for one week. 513 North St. Louis Mr. Steed informed the Board that this property is IrIH being demolished by the owner. r-I 709 East Ohio Street Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the structure at 109 U East Ohio Street U , 1813 West Sample Street This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure at 1813 West Sample. Street, the following bids, with non -collusion affidavits in proper order, were opened and read: B & J Demolition $585.00 Midwest Demolition 687.00 O'Neal Trucking 500.00 Bryant Excavating 630.00 Mr. Clem Winkowski, realtor, appeared before the Board to ask for an extension of time to have the building fixed. He stated that some of the work had been done. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the award was made to O'Neal Trucking Company on its low bid of $500.00, and the Board informed Mr. Winkowski that he had been granted a sufficient length of time to have the building complete rehabilitated and has not done so. 535 South Taylor Street This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure -at 535 South Taylor Street,the bfds, with non -collusion affidavits in proper order, were opened and read: B & J Demolition $1,250.00 Midwest Demolition 19150.00 Bryant 19000.00 O'Neal Trucking Company 925.00 Esther Frank Littow, 106 East Angela Street, South Bend, Indiana, owner of the property, appeared before the Board to request an extension of time to have the property repaired. She said she had contacted Mr. Steed and did-Tnot understand she had to appear previously at a hearing. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were held up and Mrs. Littow was given 13 days, until September 18, 1972 to have the property complete repaired. 1812-1806-1805-1809 Randolph Street These properties not having been demolished be the former contractor, and having been re -bid, the bids are now opened and read. Non-collution affidavits were found to be in proper order. The bids were as follows: B & J Demolition $1,380.00 O'Neal Trucking 1,500.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was given to B & J Demolition Company on its low bid of $1,380.00 provided they are in good standing with the Sub -Standards Division.
