43fi <br />9/5/72 <br />Cadet -Parker was appointed in June, 1972, and presently resides at. <br />1635z Lincoln Way West South Bend, Indiana 46628. <br />I recommend that his resignation be accepted by the Board to become <br />effective September 1, 1972. <br />Respectfully, <br />Robert W. Foy <br />Acting Chief of Police <br />DPF:msg <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board accepted the resig- <br />nation of Cadet Parker, upon the recommendation of the Chief. <br />APPLICATIONS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />An application for the police department was approved and ordered filed <br />with the Personnel Department for Stanley J. Raska. <br />FIVE POLICE OFFICERS TO -PISTOL MATCH <br />The following letter was presented -by Chief Foy: <br />September 5, 1972 <br />Board of Public Works and Safety, <br />County City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />We respectfully request permission from the Board of Public Works and <br />Safety for five police officers from this Department to be excused from <br />regular assisnment from September 11, 1972, through September 17, 1972, <br />to attend the 26th Annual Indiana State Police Pistol Matches at Putnam- <br />ville, Indiana. <br />This will be at no expense to the City. Your consideration of the request <br />will be appreciated. <br />Sincerely, <br />Robert W. Seals, Chief of Police <br />s/ Donald P. Foy, Acting Chief <br />RWS/mm <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board granted permission for <br />five mentto attend the Pistol Matches in Putnamville, Indiana. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Mr. Isaiah Steed, Sub -Standards Director, was present at the meeting and <br />the following matters pertaining to his department were discussed: <br />Mr. Steed brought the condition of the following properties before the <br />Board and requested permission to bring the owners before the Board to <br />show cause why the buildings should not be demolished.: <br />1729 N. Kaley Street James D. Nafe, Adminstrator for <br />the estate of Elizabeth V. Greeley <br />1320 W. Linden Avenue David & Annie B. Jones c/o <br />Wallace V.
